Also, the main thing driving you forwards in Borderlands is the prospect of better loot around every corner. So you may as well just open the chest when you need it, it's not like there's any shortage of cool weapons.

Some are cooler the others and some are throw aways so you can sell immediately. like the whites, green's and purples are valuable. And any way most of you know this. So i'll stop.

Well you don't to sanctuary until about level 5 or so, so it wouldn't be useless

It still kind of would be. You get it at 5 and probably won't use it after 8-10. You wait until 50, then it'll always be good.

Like you're all saying, this is a game with plenty of guns and loot, so why waste a free rare one on something low level?

I understand how loOt works, but a purple scalable will most likely be stat based and there will be over a hundred yellow, unique legendary weapons out there just waiting to be used. You may as well use the key when your number of cool weapons is going to be at its lowest. Also, when you out level it, just out it in your character bank and you've got a great starting weapon for every character you use

But that's just me. It's an RPG, you're meant to play it however you want

It would suck waiting all that time, then finally opening the chest and then getting something either you can't use, something that doesn't jibe with how you built your dude, or even something you just don't want. Second, which I kind of already covered, but anticipation. It's going to be disappointing to sit on your key all that time, thinking you're going to be rewarded with something awesome for waiting, and then get something underwhelming.

Since the key is tied to your account and not the characters I'm waiting until the DLC is out so I can get a quality purple drop hahah. No point in wasting it when it can only be used once.

Ahhh. Yea i had no idea what you guys were discussing. I never played Borderlands but i do plan on getting Borderlands 2.

There are only three types of Item's(plural ) in borderlands that they bother with and it's weapons, Relics,(which is a weapon , shield mod or some thing that boots ether of them with this game) and shields. I left it vague with that article, yes.

But i want it to be like Christmas for him, with what i said. Seeing that those weapons are the same colour. The last time they did this with the golden chest it was "golden weapons" in the first when it was done last time in the same way pre order wise. I expect no different.

Yeah definitely pre-order. You also get access to the DLC character class that comes out in a month or so.

Hrm. I pre-ordered this on Steam back at the end of July, even though my system won't be able to run it balls to the wall.

Hmm I checked the requirements on steam. It still runs on windows prior to both 7 and vista. There shouldn't be much of a problem.

Just both be Zero. I haven't looked through all the skill trees but it seems like the classes have both an Offensive build and a Defensive build. You two could just plan your perks accordingly.
