I've come to the realization recently that I really don't care very much about story in games, or I guess any other medium either. Which isn't to say I don't appreciate a good or well-told story, I'm just personally more concerned with the setting and characters.

Well the setting and the characters is a big part of the story too. The narrative of a game is how it all comes together, more than just the script or the cutscenes. I mean, I loved the story of Portal 2 and most of that was hidden details etc.

But yes, this does seem to have a substantially improved story. IGN have said even the side missions have fantastic stories, in the delivery and that you need to do each and everyone of them. The funniest sounding one was the one where you go to a bar, get drunk, then crash a wake and kill everyone

I never played the first game, but i just watched some video on the Xbox and i see theres a cool looking ninja dude. Guess ill be getting this.

For some reason I decided to check out the first one this past week since it was free on PSN, and I must say I was impressed. I mentioned this in another thread, but normally I hate FPS's, but the RPG elements really hooked me because I'm such a collection ****e.

I'm definitely interested in Borderlands 2, although I don't think I will be playing it anytime soon. But it's something that I've already added to my list of games that I most want to buy/rent.

hmmm I think your confusing zero for that female ninja from the same merc firm Roland originally came from that was in first game that helped you out in the general knox's dlc & also if you picked up the goty.

Yeah, Zer0 is a dude.

Zer0 is the playable Assassin class character in Borderlands 2.

He was revealed on February 21, 2012, in the

Borderlands 2 Launch Date Trailer. His origins, nature, and even real name are as of yet unknown. He is simply called "Zer0" because when he dispatches an enemy he displays a "0" on his faceplate. Other emotes,such as a "smiley face," pop up on his faceplate during different actions.

I'll probably do the same. I still have so many games I've yet to finish. I haven't even finished the first Borderlands. Well, I finished the main game, but no all of the DLC.

If you're a vault hunter who signed up for Premiere Club – accomplished by pre-ordering Borderlands 2 through a select retailer – you'll find yourself burdened by one golden key come launch day. This golden key unlocks a special treasure chest in the city of Sanctuary.

The chest (pictured above) will drop some very rare (see: purple) loot once open – loot that is scaled to your character, Gearbox says. So the potency of the loot within is dependent on the level of your character when you open it – and while we know how hard it is to not open a chest full of loot in a game where that is one of the primary goals, you may want to hold off as long as you can on this golden chest.

But I'm doing the same. I just have to be strong. I'll pick you golden lovelys in the third. By then the finial set of siren sisters should be around and about.

I didn't even think about the loot scaling though. Should I open it up straight away and get a nice boost early on? Or wait a while and get something really spectacular? Decisions, decisions...

I had a buddy that had that with the first and it was better when he was at max level before the DLc hit. fully level up first. so wait I know it's hard but wait man. Their the precious sssss.

I think I'm going to open it as soon as I see it. It's not like there's going to be a shortage of loot in the game.

Well you don't to sanctuary until about level 5 or so, so it wouldn't be useless
