Borderlands 2

I know, I'm super late to the party. I dismissed BL in 2009 because it was a FPS, However, I didn't know it was a RPG with tremendous ability to keep me playing. I'm glad I decided to look back at it again and give it a go. A fantastic game. I loved every second of it. I love it when a game can keep me busy for hours and hours and hours. So, I have a level 35 Roland, and pretty much every mission completed, excluding DLC and challenges. I'm debating, if I should continue with BL1 or move on up to BL2, what do you guys think I should do?

It would be cheaper (actually the right words words would be easier) to pick up all the DLC via Goty like i did in one go. But if you can't find the latter do as the chief just said. Plus you'll get an extra skins bonus too.

I finished the main game of Borderlands an hour before Borderlands 2 released at midnight. For what it's worth, I didn't complete the DLC.

They did occur, and they are referenced, but to be honest, get a quick synopsis of what happens and you'll be good to go. Play them some other time, if you want.

This game is so god damn boss... Just realised I've already racked up over 50 hours across 4 characters and I think I'm only just halfway through the campaign on my main character.

I love Caustic Caverns, that's a great damn environment.

Just started playing today. I think Torgue is my favorite gun manufacturer.

Edit: God damn it. I just spent my gold key, totally by accident, and didn't even get the item inside.

Edit 2: Doc Mercy is a pain in the ass. :o

Tune into the Official Gearbox and Randy Pitchford twitter feeds. So far it's just been Pitchford who's done this, but they're gearing up for a big campaign over the Gearbox twitter releasing golden key codes for the Shift account.

Same thing happened to me, bruh. Right in the feels. You'd think they would have a confirmation right before it opens.

Sign up for Shift and get a free key.

Something about this game... everything on paper shows it's better than the first Borderlands, but I'm just not feeling it. I was addicted to Borderlands and logged hours upon hours. I feel like I'm already over the sequel. I really don't know why because, like I said, everything has been amped up to eleven.

Not me, man. I'm still loving it. I'm looking forward to starting Axton after I max my Gunzerker.

Yeah, I'm loving it. I stopped playing last week though because I'm waiting on the Mechromancer.

Rolling my Axton to higher levels on the True Vault Hunter mode as well as starting a new playthrough as Zer0.

This may be my favorite game of 2012.

I got my Zero up to level 26 and now eh don't feel like playing anymore.

I haven't had a chance to play it, but as much as I enjoyed the first one, I was done once I got all of the trophies. I'd imagine doing the same with this one.

Have fun.

So, just a word of warning: there are a lot of reports about the title update resetting Bad Ass ranks, golden keys, loot, and also corrupting character saves altogether.

I would suggest avoiding it along with the new DLC for the time being until we hear from Gearbox.

Reports this morning suggested the new Mechromancer download content was causing a previous bug that erased players' badass rank to creep up again. Developer Gearbox Software responded saying that's not that case at all.

So, has anyone experienced the issue here? I'm terrified to update/download Mechro until I know for sure I won't lose my stuff. I know Gearbox says it's just a coincidence but that seems like a pretty insane coincidence.

No problems here.

I really love the Mechromancer, just like I knew I would. Also, I gut lucky early on and found like the perfect gun, and a beast of a shotgun as well.

Borderlands 2's Captain Scarlett DLC lands on October 16

The first Borderlands 2 downloadable expansion, Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty, is landing next week on October 16. Associated Press reports the DLC is set in a new area which features the bandit-occupied slums of Oasis. Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford described the area as a dried-up landscape "more like Tatooine than an ocean." The Sand Skiff vehicle Pitchford discussed last month also features in the expansion, along with a new currency called "seraph crystals."

Captain Scarlett is the first of four downloadable expansions Gearbox is releasing for Borderlands 2, each priced at $9.99. The Borderlands 2 Season Pass makes all four pieces of DLC accessible when they release for $29.99. We've reached out to Gearbox for more information on the upcoming DLC.
