Similiar from a general standpoint of cartoony versus realistic, I suppose. I still don't think they're similiar to each other, though.

Well, they both err towards photorealism and they both paint and stuff. Ringo and Bachalo both have cartoony styles with linework that looks like they made contours and filled in the interior details afterwards. Similarities.
