agree but as I mnetioned with the Simpsons movie the Budget is going to be much smaller then Spiderman so in terms of pure profit for Fox I think the Simpsons movie has most potencial

Pirates of the Carribbean 2 has already out-grossed Spider-man. So you shouldn't positively rule it out.

You guys seem to be forgetting that this year, Superman didn't even break over $200 million.

There's little that would surprise me at this point, especially when that happens.

I really think this movie wil be hardpressed to break 400... did you guys even look at the numbers??? Do you homework people.... how cant this flick outgross POTC2 when there are like two majors hits right after it in 2/3 weeks... I aint saying it can't win... but don't bet on it...

alot of movies have grossed, and alot of movies will be coming out in 2007 transformers, fantastic four2, shrek3, but spiderman3 will beat them over the years movies have evolved into bigger movies, but i know and im sure that spiderman3 will be the best im sure of it.

Superman didn't even make back any of its production budget/marketing cost at the box office and it's getting a sequel, mainly because it has idiotic partners behind the film...but that's another story.

SM3 doesn't need to beat Shrek or Pirates to be successful. This is just something fanboys want to happen, when it need not be so. SM1/SM2 got beat by LOTR and Harry Potter worldwide, does that make Spidey films any less successful, I should think not.

spider-man 3 will be the highest grossing film of 2007.

first off, potc3 will be hurt by being released so close to the competition AND being only a year away from potc2.

look at matrix revolutions; it didn't make as much as either of the first two, especially after being released so near the sequel.

as for superman returns, do not compare it to spider-man. just because superman returns sucked ass doesn't mean anything; x3 did better than it, and those two franchises aren't even close to the box office juggernaut that is spider-man.
