I have no interest in Ratatouille.
Transformers is my next movie.

Saw it last night.
And apparently the new trend in Hollywood is superhero characters who say "My bad!" after crushing something/someone.
I wonder if Batman will slip that into his conversation next year.![]()
I wanted to go last night, but all my friends were busy![]()
How was it?
on the contrary, it's quite fair. i think many people here are overhyping "the competition" and using it as an excuse. people will see the movie if they are interested in it regardless of what other movies are playing. and "the competition" this year is absolutely horrible. nothing good worth seeing, and there hasn't been anything worth seeing for months. At this point the comparisons to the first are a bit unfair. The first film held the no. 3 spot in week 3 because Michael Bay's "The Island" was a total bomb.
Most people seem to be loving it, so you should definitely be feeling optimistic, because the reaction is mostly positive from the majority. I'm in the minority, though - I'm disappointed with it, but the Transformers themselves came off really badass. The movie just is more interested in the fleshy humans and has some big plot holes... and the fact that we don't even get to watch the final battle between Optimus and Megatron (it occurs off-screen, we cut back to them when it's over) is pretty dumb.
Be sure to stay halfway through the end credits.

Very good movie imo. I hope it has a great BO when it's all said and done. The Monday take for Transformers is very impressive given that showings only started at 8pm.

I watched it last night, I never liked Bay's films before this one, I am very surprise.
Yeah there is allot of campy and very silly parts, but overall I thought it was good for what it was. (<---If that makes sense)t:
Overall 7 out 10...believe it or not.
BTW, meeting Michael Bay after the film ended was the topper!
It was crazy, when the film ended, some fan who was sitting next to us told us he saw Bay leaving out our theater that we were in, I guess he was watching our reaction to his film.
So my brother and our friend rushed outta of the movie to find him, and bam there he was, being mod'ed by lot of fans, luckly he was cool enough to lets us take cell phone pictures with him.
A very cool night indeed.![]()
Thanks for the pointer. I would have left before the mid-credits thing.
Let me get this straight.....you haven't seen FF 2, but you want to post in the FF 2 BO, you have seen Transformers now, and you aren't there talking about it's BO....
Stranger by the post...
I was quoting GLL, about TF's box office.Let me get this straight.....you haven't seen FF 2, but you want to post in the FF 2 BO, you have seen Transformers now, and you aren't there talking about it's BO....

GLL was talking about TF's box office right?
So I was doing the same as he, bringing up another movie 'than FF2 in this forum. And GL has seen FF 2, right?
So its not so strange that he might bring up another movie in this forum....where he has been talking about a movie he has seen...his post was about MANY movies, as he's looking at FF2
I enjoy posting in both forum, in reality I like posting in all of the Hypes many forums.I REALLY think your time will be much more enjoyable spent in the Tranformers Forum.....

Monday estimates from SBD:
.....
6. FF 2 - $ 1.185 mil ($ 116.052 mil)
FF 1 made $ 1.687 mil for a total of $ 124.618 mil on its corresponding day.
.......
To be more specific, there are THREE scenes during the credits. (Two of them are parts of the same scene.) So when you see one scene in the credits, don't leave yet...
t: Moi-même Trolling? Never.Except this is the FF forum. Therefore, one would reasonably expect a person to have seen the movie before spouting off about what has affected its performance. Otherwise, it looks like trolling, trashing and troublemaking.
See the movie then tell us why you think this or that is wrong with the box office.
And post your pictures with Michael Bay - let's see the evidence, please.

Hmmmm 33 % difference.
Ok if we can get to like 19 million by thursday then a 5 million weekend would take us to 124 million. Then we need another week and a half at most to get to 130 million.
I'm calling it, a 130 million is assured.
FF3 will be greenlit shortly after that I think.
Whew, looks like it is not going to be another SR summer creep, that was a drag
Guys, let´s put the fanboyism bias aside for a moment. I liked SR, I disagree with those who say it "bombed", but I can admit that the movie was a disappointment for the studio. Now, FF2 is not a bomb either, but if you think Fox is not disappointed with these numbers, you´re way off. This movie cost more than Hulk and is gonna make about the same at the box office. I wouldn´t expect Fox to be in such a rush for a sequel.
