Brainiac's return?

In a recent podcast interview Miles Millar revealed that Clark and Lex would have to work together in this season to stop and old adversary. As soon as i heard this i thought Brainiac. Was it the same for you?

How do you think he'll return? And what threat will he bring?

hmm...interestin', didn't clark destroy brainiac (and all his copies) though at the end of S5? but then, i'm not sure if the disappearance of the black ship was explained properly...maybe that could be a way back for brainiac?

i'm not sure what threat he could bring, other than that he knows clark's weakness and could be after revenge for him having stopped zod.

and i agree, marsters was pretty good in that role!

Being a kind of sentient computer program, but a computer program nonetheless, it's certainly possible that Brainiac could return. There're bound to be traces left, or different versions somewhere, or maybe even some part of the construct in Kara's ship.

I would hope for Brainiac, as he was one of the coolest things the show's done. It could be equally interesting if the villain turned out to be Lionel, as the bad guy thing wouldn't exactly be new territory, but Clark and Lex actively teaming up to stop him would be.

I hope that after Baern absorbed the black ship harddrive that Brainiac will have been inside absorbing the power emulating through the zone and the phantoms themselves so taht he can get out.

Marsters was so good at the role. I didn't know he was american, i thought he was english because he was taht good at it with Spike. Good old Spike. Those were the days.

I really loved the whole thing, I loved the crashing mid-air fighting, and I particularly looooved this look that Clark gave Zod when he knew he had him (because of the crystal).

"You're terminated, ****er!" Hee! Okay, not the exact dialogue, but that's what it reminded me of.

it would seem to fit with the theme of learning about krypton and el family secrets.The relationship between zod and jor-el also mirrors the journey clark and lex have taken

It's good to be around I still lurk around...my summer-long anticipation for season 7 won't let me stay away. I haven't had quite the time for boards that I used to, though. Anyway, I'm sure the S7 start will get me posting again for a while.
