Season 1 Finale - "Tempest"

As a massive tornado rumbles towards an unsuspecting Smallville, Clark is on the verge of discovering the first connection to where he came from when the missing piece of the spaceship is found and breathes life into the fallen craft. Meanwhile, Lex is hit with a one-two punch after his father closes the plant and orders him back to Metropolis and the shifty reporter he hired to spy on the Kents discovers Clark's superhuman abilities and the spaceship hidden in the storm cellar. Rock band Remy Zero performs the "Smallville" theme song, their hit single "Save Me," in the episode at the high school formal.

Season 2 Finale - "Exodus"

Apprehension surrounds Clark when he is caught between two choices—his life in Smallville or his destiny to rule the Earth. Meanwhile, circumstances keep Lex and Helen apart as they are planning for their wedding. Also, after being hurt when Clark didn't tell her about Lana and him. Season 3 Finale - "Covenant"

Things come to a head in Smallville when Kara, a beautiful girl with superpowers, who claims to be from Krypton, comes to entice Clark to fulfill his destiny. Also, Clark makes a discovery that ultimately redefines his relationship with Lex, and Clark's relationship with Lana takes a final turn.

Season 4 Finale - "Commencement"

Clark begins to piece together the reason he was sent to Earth after he has a nightmare that something horrible is going to happen to Smallville and heads to the cave to seek answers from Jor-El. His biological father tells him he must reunite the three crystals immediately or a disaster of epic proportions will befall the planet and even Clark won't be able to stop it. Meanwhile, Lex first helps Lana escape Smallville after the events of "Forever" then takes shocking action to get one of the crystals away from Lionel. Realizing the crystals are connected to Clark, Chloe tries to stop Lex from discovering the truth.

Season 5 Finale - "Vessel"

Brainiac unleashes a deadly virus, which will kill millions of people, and refuses to give Clark the vaccine unless he agrees to release General Zod. Clark turns to Lionel, who once again channels Jor-El. Season 6 Finale - "Phantom"

When Clark discovers Lionel threatened to kill him unless Lana married Lex , he goes after Lionel to silence him once and for all. Lana tells Lex she is leaving him, and Martian Manhunter makes a return appearance to help Clark stop Lex, who is trying to find the last wraith from the Phantom Zone in order to use its DNA to power his army of super soldiers. Meanwhile, Lois goes to Reeves Dam in search of information about Lex's secret lab and is brutally stabbed by a security guard. Chloe's secret power is revealed.

Season 6 finale was the worse of them all. The last 5 minutes with Bizarro was the only really great part. But, anyway, which was the one where Lionel goes to prison and the episode ends with his head being shaved? I like that one and the season 5 finale with Zod.

That was Season 3 "Covenant"

My Best To Worst LIST Season Finale of SMALLVILLE

1. Season 4 - "Commencement"

2. Season 3 - "Covenant"

3. Season 6 - "Phantom"

4. Season 2 - "Exodus"

5. Season 5 - "Vessel"

6. Season 1 - "Tempest"

I actually thought Season 2 season finale was the worst. Season Six seemed like they rushed it all together, although it did satisfy and leave me waiting for next year

covenant! one of the BEST EVER!!

Season 4 - "Commencement" was my favorite. The last shot of Lois with tears running down her face as she looks at all the destruction in Smallville and Clark discovering his Fortress of Solitude were great.

yeah season four was best.

but i still think one of the best episodes ever will still be rosetta with chris reeve....that was an awesome ep!

"Commencement" might be my favorite episode of the series.

And I absolutely adore "Exodus". Doesn't get enough love, IMO.

"Phantom" is a close third.

I would have to say "Covenant" is my favorite.

6. Phantom
Too much stuff going on. Chloe ascending or something. Lana has to fake her own death. Bizarro is just Clark on red kriptonite.
5. Covenant
Ruined for me because of the Kara person.
4. Tempest
No big baddy, but I still think it was an ok finale. For a young fledgeling show at least
3. Vessel
Ends on a major downer, makes you REALLY wanna come back for the begining of the 6th season. And Rosenbaum does a good job as Zod. I still don't get what Brainy's plan was.
2. Exodus
Another season that ends on a major downer. Clark actually manages to surprise you and quits being such a Mary Sue. He makes a choice. A stupid, dumbass, cowardly choice but at least he makes it.
1. Comencement
One word. Epic!

1º Commencement
2º Phantom
3º Covenant
4º Exodus
5º Vessel
6º Tempest

But they were all awesome in they're own way...

Commencement
Phantom
Covenant
Vessel
Tempest
Exodus (Too sad, and too many people blaming Clark for things that werent his fault.) :csad:

The hardest person on Clark, was Clark. :(

Jonathan pissed me off in that episode, but I don't remember anyone else blaming Clark for what happened. Are you thinking of someone else?

I thought season 4 was the worst season ever, but they capped it off with the best season finale ever. That and the 10 minutes of Batman Begins footage got me friggin stoked for the movie.

Really? I thought Jonathan had pretty good reason to be mad. Clark did something based on mere assumption without really knowing what could happen. I don't think it was completely his fault seeing as he was desperate. Jonathan did overreact, but under the circumstances he was in, losing a baby Martha and him never thought they could have, I can certainly understand why. He also later realizes it as a mistake.

Commencement for me.

Yeah, Chloe's speech about "hello you've always been in love with Lana". Like it was his fault that he didnt have the same feelings for her that she did for him and then she had to turn on him in the worse possible way. And yeah, Jonathan pissed me off royally in that episode.:cmad:

I guess I'm the only one that thought Phantom was the best finale.:ninja:

I've got Commencement and Covenant tied at a close second.

Lionels finale was the best, what a classy piece of music and editing.

Jonathan had reason to be distraught and devastated at the loss of the baby, but to turn his anger towards Clark a horrible thing to do as a father. Clark is his son, and Jonathan should have prioritized Clark's emotional state over his own.
