If Braniac winds up in the sequel, which I wouldn't pass off as such a sure thing, what form would you like to see him/it in? The robot form, like the Animated Series, or a humanoid form? Or would you possibly want a new form of Braniac?

If you want the robot form, should there be an actor underneath the suit or would you use CGI? And who would you choose as the voice of Braniac?

If you want human form, what would be your casting choice?

My personal choice would be the robot form like TAS, with none other than Corey Burton doing the voice while another actor plays Braniac under the suit, ala Darth Vader, David Prowse, and James Earl Jones.

I'd like to see the Robot form. I wonder if they would make it in a cyborg style ala the Terminator with abilities similiar to the T-X (Kristanna Loken model).

Knowing Singer he probably won't want anything to do with anything associated with the DCAU. In the Amazing Story of Superman documentary, he barely glossed over STAS and JL/JLU. So sadly, I don't think he wants any association with that.

It's unfortunate, because Timm/Dini wrote way better than Singer's tools Harris and Daugherty.

I'd prefer the robot form, only with an exterior that has that S:TAS 'retro' look which gets ripped away a la 'The Terminator' in the climax to reveal an endoskeleton reminiscent of the character's "Super Powers" incarnation. It would probably start out as a guy in a suit, and for the skeletals be CGI.

Im with you man. I think Singer spit on everything Superman other than Donner's film, and that film is only famous for three reasons.

1. Christopher Reeve
2. The structure of the movie
3. First film to take comic book material somewhat seriously, and I say somewhat becuase of Gene Hackman.

I have the balls to say it. Superman The Movie was not the best take on the character, it just happens to be the most famous. I think a superior movie could have been made in it's place, but Singer and his b%tch boys decide to make a heartless, absentee story, lackluster rehash. DCAU, S:TAS, and JL/JLU are all superior takes on the character, not only superior takes than Returns, but Donner's film as well. God only knows how awesome Reeve would have been as a live action S:TAS Superman. Hell, TAS was what kept interest in Superman for a years.

Im with you. Timm/Dini should write the next film, or the hopeful and completely possible restart. I can only pray.

I know I started this thread about Braniac being in the next film, but sadly I don't think he will show up. I think Singer and his henchman will bring back Zod in some incarnation. Singer probably doesn't even know who Braniac is. And thats IF there is a sequel.

Honestly, I don't think we will see Superman on film again until the Batman/Superman movie comes to pass. I think Begins will get its sequel, and then after it makes a bang at the box office, Warner's will say f%ck it and make the Worlds Finest movie. I can only hope Singer stays the hell away from that one and Timm/Dini write the film, with help from David Goyer and Christopher Nolan directing.

I'd have an actor play him and maybe go all Terminator with his flesh begin ripped off at the end of the film.

That's what I'm thinking to will probably be done. Of course, that's if Singer takes the route of Brainiac and doesn't throw in the Kryptonian family of settlers as rumored or give us Zod again.

TAS version with an actor in prosthetics touched up with CGI,preferably Hugo Weaving

Yep! You nailed it. Excellent choice with the actor as well. I could definitely see Hugo Weaving play the role.

i want to see a robot (with the dots on his forehead). i was pretty disappointed when i found Spike was Brainac and not Zod in Smallville.

I voted other. Meaning that I would lie to see both his Robot and his Humanoid form. Have him First Meet Superman out in space in his Robot form. Then when Superman gets back to Earth, We get Milton Fine. (think Reincarnation)

I am down with the robot form... ala dpm07's avatar.

That's silly, giving him two forms will make the character needlessly convoluted, keep it simple or you will lose the audience.

Thanks!

I could definitely see Hugo Weaving doing this role in the flesh form, and later in the film have it stripped away showing the 3 dots, and the robot form.

Robot form.

i like the JLU version of him merging with Lex to achieve his "completeness" as a living sentient being. and Lex becomes all-knowledgable, all powerful and immortal. perfect arrangement.

I see him more as a cyborg, but mostly a robot, possibly made of the sunstone.

I would want Brainiac to be in an inorganic form, preferably the one that he inhabited in the animated series, with the CGI mimicking the basic layout and the same VA. I just feel that he was more metallically menacing in that incarnation than in any other, and that the background would be rather appropriate for a villain who claims to be so intelligent. I hope that he at least comes across as an intelligent villain in this film...

I want him to be like in the fifties comics.
He should have a little flying saucer and go around the universe collecting miniature cities with his space monkey Koko.

Robot. The A.I. thing is ****ing awesome. Plus, makes it more personal.

It would be cheaper to do him human form, but he can do more action in the robot form.So I'm undecided, but I'd accept either version.
