Captain Marvel Brie Larson is Captain Marvel!

You and I both know that those jokes you told were a thinly veiled guise to camoflougue your true feelings. And if those jokes had been made at the expense of any other demographic they would have immediately been removed. Being cheeky and coy about won't change that.
I don't want to derail this thread so I'm just gonna say this once: I'm a white male. If that doesn't grant me the freedom to make jokes at the expense of white males, then what is even the point of being one. Besides being hated by the sun, of course.

I hate they're using Alita as a scapegoat.
What's really funny is that Alita is a Fox movie.

"Besides being hated by the sun"

That's the first joke you've made that actually had some real humor in it. Nice job.

I remember in the past when they made movies to entertain you and made you forget about the world and it's problems, now you go to a movie and every problem out in the world is under a microscope.

If an actor is against toyota vehicles, when promoting your movie don't use that platform to tell people who drive Toyotas that they are hated and you don't want them to watch your movie.

All this stuff has really took the excitement of Avengers Endgame out of me,not to mention Captain Marvel.

Yeah this is more like telling Toyota drivers that you'd like Chevy drivers and Ford drivers to be allowed to see the movie too, and the Toyota drivers getting all pissy about it

OH LOOK! They can't even make good comparisons to perpetuate their BS

Comparing the diversity of women’s voices to pieces of machinery isn’t going to help your argument.

Yup. This might actually take the cake for the most cut-and-dry on-going debate I’ve seen on the hype.

Brie correctly observed that white males are over-represented in film circles. She correctly thinks the scales should be balanced. That is in no way, shape, or form, an attack on white men. If you think it is then you either haven't been listening to what she's been saying, or you need to educate yourself. Probably both.

It’s difficult to say there lack of diversity when you are part of the majority so it doesn’t impact you.

I know it doesn’t seem fair that as a white guy who didn’t go out of their way to cause trouble, it seems like you’re being unfairly lumped in with this group.

But here’s the thing:

IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU

Movies like the original Planet of the Apes in 1968 was doing far more than just trying to "entertain you"

It was Thought provoking and had a lot to say about politics and racism

plus actor Charlton heston was very outspoken about his political beliefs and support for civil rights

He even marched with MLK

Now what he did later in his life politically,.....well let's not talk about it.

Man, I can't wait until the movie to comes out, so I can come here and read about things that are really important...

It's not "JUST" a movie for many women. How many movies like this men get? and in peace? And we? And we always have to deal with this ridiculous backlash nonsense. Would it really kill some of the men to show some empathy? Or say nothing. Instead of going 'lol why, 'lol what' or straight up trolling and harassing people

I'm quoting this because THANK YOU. I'd rather they just say nothing. I'm sick of fragile little egos that can't handle a movie not being for them. **** it's infuriating.

I just want to say that even though i havent seen Brie in anything (except Scott Pilgrim and i did not even knew who was her when i saw her many years ago, and Skull Island but lets forget that movie please) from the first two trailers i knew she is gonna do a good job (and LMAO the "she does not smile" complaints that suddenly appeared)

Usually the MCU (not always) gets castings right, so i am optimistic.

My dad texted me making sure I had the tickets for CM because he's so excited to see it. I bought the tickets on January 8th :funny:

It's too bad I can't get my brother to watch it. But he thinks all women in Hollywood are actually transsexuals. YouTube is a cancer...

If this movie was gonna be for just women it would have been a traditional solo movie. But instead its required viewing for being part of a larger arc setting up the next movie. This movie is not just for women based on this fact alone. They wanted all fans seeing this one or its a traditional solo movie

Tell that to the losers making YouTube conspiracy videos.

They'll see the movie one way or another. They might not pay for it but they'll see it before End Game

I honestly couldn't give less of a **** if they do. It would be nice if they locked their incel rage up and took it away from the internet.

From Flat Earther to Hollywood transsexuals. Too much time on YouTube and not enough outside.
