Captain Marvel Brie Larson is Captain Marvel!

Same with the Geeks and Gamers channel on YT. He's proving how uninterested he is in the film by making 20+ videos saying about CM. At that point, CM is living rent-free in his head but he's too blind to see it.
Of course he's gonna see it... maybe he won't pay for it, but he'll see it. There's no way that turd will deprive his followers of his scathing review.

Would be hilarious if he actually likes it. Imagine if these haters actually saw the movie and realized "hey it's not so bad, but I gotta hate on it!". Although I wouldn't keep my hopes up.

He'll probably never admit it because then it'd make all his complaint videos look like a complete waste of time to his subscribers. Same goes for all the other supposed boycotters.

Yeah, there's no changing these people's minds at this point... this movie could be the Godfather of superhero movies and they'll still say its s**t

Who cares what the haters say or think? They're just a bunch of angry incels who will convince themselves that their boycott (really a toddler-cott) hurt the film's box office no matter how much money it makes.

Here's the problem: RT will say and do whatever they think it's best for their business. They noticed the backlash on their website and decided they wanted no part of it (some would argue it was a mistake). Then they justified their actions by saying it was due to the trolls. Of course, you wouldn't expect them to say "we no longer want people to express their dislike for this movie so we're shutting the poll down", would you?

At the end of the day, whatever RT says is irrelevant as they don't have a way to know who's voting in their polls or their motivations. They don't really know whether they are trolls or not. They just assume they are, just like media and fans did before the poll was even shut down.

I mean, we're talking about a poll. How do you troll a poll? By voting in it? Isn't that the point polls? If they detected votes from same IP adresses then they could have simply blocked them, which is what other websites do.

I don't think the mainstream media actually knows what the word "troll" means... or maybe they do, and because so many are political activists they just use it for rhetorical purposes.

I'm convinced the guy from Geeks and Gamers parents are brother and sister. No one could be that dumb by accident.

Like I said before, he went on Sam MF Jackson like a true MAGA nut, did video WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC how tRump has done more for black unemployment than any other president (not to make this too political, but I've seen the US government stats, he hasn't).

Jesus Christ...

Omg... I didn't even notice the Hitler comparison...wow I'm legit speechless...

I sometimes wish comic and video game culture can go back to the way it was before the year 2013. In my opinion 2013 was year that everything changed forever and geek culture became the toxic mess it is today

2012 to me proved to be the last good year for comic and video game culture. It was the last time I could go on a forum without seeing this consist obsession with woman or people of color in comics, video games and movies.

The following year a youtube video series called Tropes vs Women in Video Games started popping up online

I watched a few of them but never really payed the series that much attention.
I was huge gamer at the time and when that hate for the Tropes vs Women in Video Games series started growing. It was the first time I had ever felt completely disconnected from the gaming community. They increasingly started hating the creator of those videos Anita Sarkeesian

No matter what forum I would go on Rape and death threats would pop up every time this woman's name was brought up. That was also the first time I remember seeing people post "SJW" to attack someone.

surprisingly enough google trends perfectly lines up with my Timeline

https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=all&geo=US&q=sjw

gamegate and comicsgate would happen not to long after that

today we are all still living with the consequences of those events And Captain marvel is the latest victim of the hatred that started all those years ago

Now hold on there a moment... Maybe it's not as bad as...

Okay you may have a point.

It's telling that the people who harp on RT removing the want to see feature either don't acknowledge the brigading or sidestep it, as if it isn't manufactured, organised.

That tweet really really bothers me...

The worst part is... You can't tell if it's satire or real these days. People seem to go out of their way to live up to the parody versions of themselves nowadays.

Even if that Tweet was satire,
Some attempts at humor should just be left alone,

The good news is that everyone is dragging that cretin on Twitter. The bad news is that he isn't the one who came up with that comparison... the leader of ComicsGate did.

Hard disagree. This is where things went wrong:

Brie is allergic to cats? I want to know what they did to convince her to film scenes with Chewie, and other cats.

She's a tough cookie, and I admire that in an artist dedicated to their craft.
