I looked a bit to see if a thread had already been made about the English film "BRONSON" (Going back to an old joke, it's mandatory that it be spelled in caps lock.) I either didn't find it or I missed it.
It is a movie starring Tom Hardy and is based on a true story. He's Bane big and Bane bald in the flick, and some of the fight scenes are STELLAR. I cant even explain them, it wouldn't do them justice.

Here's a video of the very beginning of the film, there's a bit of risque implied nudity, so maybe NSFW? IDK.

heres the link: http://youtu.be/WPpe2_fsqD8

Big, bald, buff, violent, Tom F**KING HARDY. The real life Brock Samson. YUM.

So YOU'RE the other person who caught that flick? LOL, man I hate that Im the only person I know that seeks out foreign films and TV shows. In your profile it says you're from Australia, and Im sure youve seen the Ronnie Johns half hour. NOBODY I know in the states has even HEARD of it. That's the problem here, if it isn't American made people dont know what I'm talking about.

Haha yeah I'm from Australia. You do have to expand your horizons when it's comes to film, especially Foreign territory. If it's something good, I won't mind watching it :)

Personally I loved it, but im kinda biased, but it's in a similar vein to Chopper, if you haven't seen that it's also worth a look.

It's pretty ****ing awesome. Just a really insane story that makes you love and hate Bronson all at the same time. And now that Tom has Bane coming out, I like to think this is the prequel. :o

I am glad someone gave me the heads up on BRONSON (again, all caps... it's the law. look it up.) when it came out. It's the movie that made me LITERALLY jump for joy when Tom was announced for Bane.

And Caped Crusader 14, Im in T-total agreement. Yanks need to broaden their horizons when it comes to foreign film and TV. The Chopper Reid parodies on Ronnie John's is just amazingly funny. I wish more of us across the pond were aware of how great the rest of the world is with their creativity.

Love this movie. Was angry that it took till Drive for people to discover Refn.

Didnt like it. Hardy was good, but really the only good part of it.

BLASPHEMY! BRONSON is a great story. But it is your opinion and you're entitled to it. Dont mean to pry, but why didnt you dig the story?

This movie just seemed purely interested in glorifying him.
Like the scene with the guy as a hostage, the movie deliberately tries to make him look like a *****bag who deserves it portraying it in a jokey manner. It just seemed exploitative.

I loved Hardy's performance and Refn's visual style, but I didn't love the film overall. Still, those two elements made it well worth watching, imo.

Saw it when it came out. Good stuff.

Love it. Hardy's unrecognizable and stunning as Charlie B. and the whole movie is such a great trip.

I love Hardy's performance but felt they underplayed some of Bronson's "antics". The actual prison riot was more exciting than it was portrayed here.

True, that they did. But it's still pretty bada** that he's tried to buck the system so hard he got a LIFE SENTENCE for fighting guards. Exploitative or not, it was interesting and gripping, IMHO.

This has been on my "to see" list since I "discovered" Tom Hardy in Inception, then truly saw how great he is in Warrior. Still need to check it out.

Netflix that b**ch. It plays instantly on the Wii. It's one of the best, most slept on, f**king underrated films of 09. And Tom Hardy is at his BEST in the flick. It's like an introduction to Bane in TDKR.

To sum up his physique in one word in this film... TASTY.

I prefer him big and bald. And when he was announced as Bane, it was the only thing after Heath's death that restored my faith in a batman flick as good as TDK

Just... F**king... TASTY. :hrt::hrt::hrt::hrt::hrt:
