watch Casino Royale and tell me you still want Brosnan back, because i saw Daniel Craig do what Moore and Brosnan didnt do in their whole Bond movie eras which were still good though since it was Bond of course.

craig daniels was a great bond. i didnt think i was going to like him but he brought back a grity, and tough bond back.

I didn't know that Borat posted on here. ;)

It's Daniel Craig FYI, not Craig Daniels (Unless you were joking in some ironic way that that I've missed).

But yeah, Craig is definately a keeper. Think of it, If he's this good now, in his 1st outing as Bond, how amazing is he going to be once he grows into the role?!

Can't wait.

Puleez - This guy's a yawn! Only 13 people in the theatre on the opening day all laughing because the man's a joke! I lasted 40 minutes and couldn't stand the sight of him any longer. Great story line - Brosnan would have done great with this one, and he looks much younger than Craig. Poor Craig could use a face double. But it's not just that he looks like an ex-con, he doesn't have "IT". Two hundred great applicants and they pick him! He has no class, no finesse, is ugly, dirty looking, has weird hair, and an oily complexion, and isn't credible in the part, they should have used him in a supporting role - as the milkman perhaps! Or someone's henchman who disappears after 5 minutes.

Sorry - Did you see Craig's close up? Moore was in his 40's when he became Bond and looked 10 years younger than Craig. Brosnan looks 10 years younger than him now. This poor man is a yawn, Bond is off my list until Craig is off EON's!

Have fun watching Moonraker and Die another Day for a damn long time then, considering CR is not only one of the most critically acclaimed Bond flicks but also does well at the BO, judging by the first few reports. Face it, the mass loves Craig as Bond and if the next few installments are around the same qualitiy, Craig won´t go anywhere and I´m sure as hell they will do their best to keep him longer then the 2 next movies he´s already signed to do.

Daniel Craig IS BOND. He is the best since Connery. He displayed wit, humour and, somethng i don't think any actor has done, a real cold, ruthless, killing streek.

In the cinema, it was packed. Everyone laughed at the bits that where funny, they laughed in the torture scene when Craig delivered, brilliantly, his lines ('i got an itch' lol)... it was a perfect BOND.

To all you haters, gods, grow up. All the hate before anyone saw any footage, befoire they saw the movie... god, how childish and pathetic. Those that stated, in a mature, and reasonable post, their reservations over his casting, that's cool. But the 'He looks like crap', 'too blond' blah blah blah.

WATCH THE FILM, then get back to us with a more objective, mature, response.

I saw it. I thought the film was good but I still think Brosnan is better . However , I think that if the writer's fashion the part to fit Craig's own personality , I think he'll be even better . In the 1st half of the film he felt stiff, but once Eva came into the picture it was like a whole other Bond. I actually think they should play up his laid back , down to earth style instead of trying to make him Vin Diesel.

As for people not liking Craig , I say to each is own . Their are people who swear by Roger Moore and Those never accepted anyone but Connery in the role. I've read people say Dalton was the only actor to capture Bond Correctly . I read that Lazenby was good and that Brosnan was the best Bond Since Connery so what can you do. I don't think there's a right or wrong answer ,it's a matter of preference .

Hmm. Posts don't get much more disturbing than this one. Almost seems like you've got something personal against the man. It's just a film tough guy.

Read the Ian Fleming novels. With the exceptions of Dr No, From Russia With Love, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, For Your Eyes Only, and the Living Daylights. Bond has not been done right. All you people saying he does not have it, think that the movies is how Bond is supposed to be, when in fact this Bond is more like how Fleming wrote him. He is not about the gadgets, the over the top action. Bond is a real person, he bleeds, he hurts, he is haunted by the past.

I am sure a lot of people out there who know of Ian Fleming and his novels. Have wanted to see a Bond closer to that than some of the stuff EON has brought forth. Don't get me wrong I like the movies, but I have been wanting something like those movies I mentioned for a while. Before anyone here says that this is not it. I suggest reading the Ian Fleming novels and then look at the stuff EON brought to the screen and say which of the Bonds have "IT" .

I like Pierce, and I blame the scripts for what he had to deal with. I think he would have been a better Bond if EON didn't go with something along the lines of the Moore Formula. People B**ch because of their idea of Bond. One of the things I have always thought was silly was the whole thing with OHMSS was syaing that Bond would never get married. Fleming wrote it, Bond did get married and lost Tracy. Same with Vesper. They are the only two women in the Fleming stories that left an impact.

Know the character you are talking about before you say anything

Casino Royale is the best Bond film. Period.

Having said that, I really do like Brosnan. It's not really his fault Die Another Day sucked.

I actually hope that Brosnan does come back in a Bond film, but NOT as Bond. Brosnan should come back in a cameo, secondary role (maybe another MI6 agent or something like that), or he should come back as an antagonist.

I'd love to see Brosnan face off against Craig.

lets get this casino royal crap out of the way so pierce brosnan can return, the world over hates daniel craig because hes ugly and blond, and rightfully so, he is! pierce brosnan was the second coming of sean connery but better, every bond brosnan did made tons of cash, now what is the studio gonna do when casino royal doesnt do so hot, its 1 year away and everyone and there brother hate it. there hasnt been so much hate for a james bond film since ohmss with george lazenby, and look what happened there, the movie did bad, and sean connery had to come back to save the franchise. i believe 100 % that the same will hapen in this generation. pierce will come back and blend the series back to where it is supposed to be, not bond begins, bonds not batman and hes not jason bourne, hes james bond, so i beg you mr brosnan come back asap

Let's fast forward to 8 months after this post... how do you feel now? :idiot:

13 people in your theatre Redintn? That seems either A) exxagerated, or B) like a small run down theatre in a small town. I've seen Casino Royale twice, first time was the day after it opened, and the second time the other day, and both times the movie was packed. The theatre I saw it at is a 20-screen-theatre and has Casino Royale playing on 3 screens and its still pulling in the people. It's not even located in a big city either.

As for Brosnan, I liked him in the role. However, I really like Craig's take on the character and I'm definitely not alone. Unless you want a 50+ year old actor working their way back to the "Pappy Bond" of Moore's later days, just at least accept that there's a new actor and the movie is making seriously good money.

By the way, superfan has been awfully quiet since the movie was released. Either he's moved on since the movie's success, or he's moved on to a new log-in name.

Brosnan could never pull it off the same way, they'd have to CGI all the stunts, which is what ruined Die Another Day. No matter how many mean-spirited comments made about Craig, his movie is a hit, and even if you couldn't care less for it, Craig has brought many new fans into the franchise, none of whom really cared to see the Brosnan films.

I've never liked Bond movies, ever. They've always bored me, because it always seemed they focused more on gadgets then storyline. That said, I loved Casino Royale.

LOVED IT!

It was much more realistic then any other Bond I've watched, and from what I've read up on, much closer to the character Flemming created then the other movies.

I can't really say as to how good of a Bond movie this was, because I've only seen a couple (mostly Sean Connery) and I never liked them that much, But this was a great Movie. It was everything I wanted the Bourne movies to be, and everything I wanted in a spy movie. All I know is I hope they keep making the Bond movies like this one.

To all the trolls who lashed out at Craig thinking Casino Royale was gonna fail still wanting Brosnan back. I laugh at you all.

Casino Royale was fabulous. I've seen it 3 times now and I appreciate it more with each viewing. I don't think I've seen the Brosnan films more than once. Die Another Day was pretty lame as was The World Is Never Enough. Gotta see Goldeneye again though.
