They have never recasted because someone complains about actor. They have only recasted cameos or when they need younger version. If Jones or Kravitz don't return that
means their characters were dropped(Toad sabretooth X2,Nightcrawler Last Stand)

If they drop Frost, that kind of makes the end scene of FC meaningless. Hope they don't do that.

Already posted In who will be announced next thread. But Famke does good In revealing nothing.Being very coy about her rumored The Wolverine cameo.

Exactly! If Magneto and her previous pals from the Hellfire Club just abandoned her in that CIA interrogation room. Then I wouldn't be expecting Emma Frost to comeback for the next movie. Just like with Sabretooth and Toad disappearing in X1 after they were beaten.

I hate how Ratner got rid of Nightcrawler and crowbarred Collossus in the roster. Ugh

I actually think it was a good thing that they didn't include Nightcrawler in X3. I don't think they have prepared something for Nightcrawler in the story of the movie. If they included him in the roster just because he was in X2 then he would be like Colossus in X3.

I don't think the story of X3 is a good enough reason... Mainly because it's clearly not the story Singer wanted to tell.

But don't you think if Nightcrawler appeared in X3, X3 would have ruined him and that would have been another problem that happened in X3. So its a good thing he didn't appear in the movie and the movie already had a lot of characters.

I would rather have Jean return than Storm.

Aside from her amazing weather controlling abilities, Storm never really serves much purposes in the X Men movies.

Well if they're doing a Morlocks massacre story, then yeah, it will be a great idea to include Storm.

The only interesting thing that Storm can contribute to DOFP is her relationship with Forge.

So if Storm is returning, does that mean they will cast someone to play Forge??

No, because it isn't necessary.

If you have to add a second character just to justify the first being there, then you've got too many characters.

But Forge isn't in DoFP.

We're not here to talk about things logically, dammit JP! We're here to make baseless assumptions and back them up with every fiber of our being. Get with the program! :argh:

love how fake said phoenix should of been it's own movie and not a cure storyline shoehorned in

Most definitely. The Dark Phoenix Sage is big enough without the whole cure thing. It just diminished Jean into a 'weapon' to be used in an arbitrary conflict, rather than letting it be the great story it could have been.

It would have been so personal and a great arch for BOTH Logan and Scott, with each of them adjusting to her death and resurrection differently but needing to come together and resolve that she needed to die... Then to have Scott kill her instead of Wolvie, would have been so much more personal and a great moment for Cyke.

Then, the aftermath would be with the world thinking mutants are a HUGE threat and it could lead perfectly into so many different stories for the next trilogy, where the X-Men are in hiding, the integreation of the sentinel program, you name it.

Such wasted potential.

^^^ I had to reread that sentence 3 times but I finally got it. For a second there I thought you were calling her fake phoenix!

I find myself having to reread some posts from certain posters here a number times too just to get the gist LOL

Oh man, I totally agree with you. You should try venturing into the Game boards.... There's a poster there who consistently makes ZERO sense but gets shirty if you point it out :P

Yeah, they screwed X3 up :o

My bet Is will be back

X-Men:Caleb Laundry Jones,Lucas Till

Brotherhood:January Jones,Jason Flemyng

Question marks:Zoe Kravitz,Alex Gonzalez

Not returning:Rose Byrne

If Emma Is in DOFP Jones will be playing her.

Rose Byrne not returning is understandable. I mean, what is Moira supposed to do?

Being the only human, she's pretty much useless...especially in battle scenes. She won't be able to do anything to help the X-Men

If Emma is back, I sure hope she's given more things to do this time round. Maybe love triangle between her, Cyclops and Jean.

Maybe Emma can psycho or brainwash Cyclops and seduces him into thinking she's Jean Grey and bring him over to the dark side. That sounds interesting.......

Yup 616 Colossus has a relationship with Kitty Pryde

I thought Rogue have a relationship with Colossus only because him in his metal state is immune to her absorption powers??

It is exactly because of that why Storm should return instead of Jean. She already has her story told and her character arc has ended. Storms has just began, and she has just taken over as headmistress of the school and leader of the X-Men. In the DOFP Comic storm had just been appointed as the new leader and she was dealing with the struggles of leading a team of successfully and making sure they survive at the end. They could adapt that for the movie.

To just say that a character should not appear because they didn't do much in the movies is unfair. By that logic Cyclops and Nightcrawler and rogue should all not come back because they didn't do much. This is the chance to develop all those characters not to dismiss them because they were underused by a director that failed to see the potential in them because he was swooning over wolverine, magneto, Prof X and Jean.

Storm was so badly portrayed in the films... But that's no reason to bring her back, just because she hasn't been done right before. If there's no natural way to fit her into the story, then why crowbar her in?
