Since we see Bucky in the trailer fighting alongside the Wakandans he must have all of that HYDRA programming out of his head but even so he still has to deal with the fact that he has killed for HYDRA killed for them for decades killing Tony Stark/Iron Man's parents...all of his victims he has to deal with killing all of them even though he is or will be more or less like his old self he will have to deal with all of that guilt

Enough guilt for a lifetime of sins

He's got to let that go, it wasn't his fault.

I really like seb Stan as an actor.

I'd like another cap trilogy from Evans but I doubt well get it and I'd like to see him take the shield afterwards.

I think people exaggerated his guilt too much.
Yes, of course, he feels it, who wouldn't in his place, but it was basically one dialog with Steve. He didn't lay down and let Tony kill him, he actively fought for his life.
If anything, Natasha's and Bruce's feelings of guilt have been explored much more than his. And they actually have more reasons to feel guilty, especially Nat, who hadn't been brainwashed.

And I like Stan as an actor too, but I really doubt his solo movie would make much money. He doesn't have Evans' charisma. In fact, I don't think there is any need to make him new Captain America. There is only one true CA - Steve Rogers.

If Evans chooses to leave they will need another.

I thought he was more charismatic than Steve in first avenger certainly at the beginning. He's just been written differently since, well but different.

His solo movie as long as its good would make money. This is marvel were talking about.

If ant man and Dr strange can make that 600 plus then a film with bucky as cap definatley can.

Possible scenarios.
Bucky dies as Cap is trying to save him.
Cap dies or is missing in action as Bucky takes his place.
"A skrull all along"...cue Captain Marvel and Bucky Cap having to rescue him.

I don't think its something were gonna have to worry about in this film tbh anyway.

It will be avengers 4 where people die, futures are decided.

As I say I hope they can convince c evans to stay on. He's young enough for Another trilogy and if they can incorerate a way to bring red skull back that would be grwat he's too good a villain for just 1 movie imo

Why would they need another CA? Cap Marvel is coming.

Sorry, but I doubt that Stan is a leading man material. He wasn't that memorable before he became the Winter Soldier.

Cap marvel is a second rate character that is only rrlevent because she stole a much loved DC characters name.

She won't be replacing caps role.

A cap role will be filled, Stan has multiple films left on his contract

Well done for creating this. I think it’s the last main character (outside of Guardians who I guess are grouped together) who didn’t have their own thread.

MCU is not the comics. In the MCU, I'm sure, they will try to make Cap Marvel very important.

You don't know that.

Actor's contract is a one-way deal. And it expires after 7 years, so, no, Marvel isn't obligated to use Stan in the future. Especially when Evans said he's open to play CA as long as Marvel wants him.

I want Bucky with short hair again please... :o

I really want to see Bucky and Natasha having a shared past. "You could at least recognize me" line had to be in there for a reason.

I do not buy her saying that because he shot her in the past. Why would she say that while being choked? Remind him she's the enemy? Makes no sense... Also rematch that scene, she's not struggling for her life to get out of that hold..

Also Russo's said in an interview that we had to wait and see if they both have any prior connection to each other outside of Bucky shooting Natasha..

It would be a fascinating development... Bucky sharing a past with Nat could get Bucky out of Cap's shadow.. Everyone associates Bucky as Steves friend since childhood. We need to know more about Winter Soldier and not Bucky.

Thats just me.

I hope Bucky gets a chance to be a big hero in this one.

I'm sorry, but what Russos are doing is pure BS and doesn't make any sense. It's too late now, they should have established the shared history between them in TWS. Now it would look like a half-baked retcon. They obviously didn't setup it properly. Bucky didn't remember Nat in TWS or CW, he remembered Steve and Steve only. Bucky was absent from Nat's memories in AoU, and she doesn't care about his life, she asked BP to join their team, even though she perfectly knew he was gonna kill Bucky, not capture him.
I know, it's a popular ship in the comics, but in MCU it doesn't make any sense. One vague line doesn't fix it. And I hope the Russos won't go after shameless fanservice at the expense of the logic and continuity of their movies.

I considered that a reference to their melee in TWS more than the sniper shot in their backstory

Hope he can be as badass as a hero as he was as a villain in TWS. You want that guy working for you!

my sentiments exactly. would definitely love to see bucky in that "winter soldier" mode in infinity war

Yeah, inject some cold fear into those Outriders. ;)

He looks like a BAMF with that assault rifle in the IW trailer.

IMO, for a Bucky/Natasha past to be credible, he should have been in her flashback of The Red Room in Age of Ultron.

From the Infinity War prelude comic

There are also these panels about Bucky.

Agree. Even here we can see Nat being absent, as always, from Bucky's memories.

So Bucky becomes the White Wolf now. What does that mean for his gear in IFW?
