Yeah, season 6 is actually pretty well constructed. I just didn't think the episodes themselves were that entertaining.

I think series four probably had some of the best individual eps within the entire buffyverse.

as a series structure though, it was fairly weak based on how adam dissapeared for along time and showed up later. He probably had some of the greatest potential and could have been better than the mayor.

funny thing is angel is my favourite character in the buffyverse but in buffy, i never really rated him.

I hated Angel on Buffy's show whenever he was good. Angelus was awesome, but Angel annoyed me a lot. He was such a simpering wuss. I loved his evolution over the course of his show, though. Anyway, I guess I might as well chip in:

I think Angel as a series is far better than Buffy, personally. The themes it deals with are a lot more interesting to me--temptation, dealing with one's own vices, ends justifying the means, etc.

Seconded. It helps that Angel features the best character, namely Wesley.

Yeah, totally. That's another thing I liked more about Angel: it felt like the characters transformed a lot more than the Buffy characters ever did. Wesley and Angel were both in completely different places by the end of that show from where they were at the beginning in a lot of areas of their lives.

That's actually quite true. I can only think of Giles, Spike, Buffy, and Willow who really became more than what they started off as on Buffy. Faith too, but most of her development came from her stints on Angel.

Yeah, Faith grew more on Angel's show. I loved how conflicted she was when Angel went bad again and she had to stop him but refused to kill him.

Angel definitely was the better show. All of the main characters at one point took a "Dark Turn" & Angelus is one of TV's best Bad Guys in history

I don't get everyone's problem with Kennedy, Okay she was a bit smug, but that was just a misguided attempt to make another Buffy, and I think had Kennedy had the chance to become a more well rounded character some of the hate would of worn off, the only thing I didn't like about her was she was to foward with Willow after the whole Tara getting shot thing.

whedon always moved too fast for Willow. Oz left and in the very same episode she sleeps with Tara. Tara dies and its the end of the world, next season she's cuddling up with the arrogant newbie. Season Seven needed to be about Willow's relationship with her friends

Yes, yes we all hated the Initiative, but there were some other pretty good episodes in Season 4 I.E Living Conditions, Hush, Fear Itself and Restless, the only thing I couldn't forgive was Beer Bad.

Fear itself! An amazing twist. Without Oz though, season 4 had nothing.

well after 3 buffy is really hit and miss. Angel came into its own with the Angel/Spike banter. really just Spike away from Buffy was always good.
