Burn Notice

Just saw a commercial. Burn Notice is back June 4th and is moving to 9pm.

That's the cancellation that made me utterly despise the US public.

drama queen much? NBC promoted the **** out of that show prior to its premiere...I even saw commercials for it in movie theaters...Kevin McKidd is great, loved him in Rome...but the reason that show failed was because there was no reason to care about any of the supporting characters....it just seemed flat to me....NBC even gave it a sweet timeslot and it didnt work

The cancellation of Life on Mars has saddened me. But at least it got a full season.

Actually, so many cancellations over the last year or two have been hard. :(

I watched a couple episodes of the US version....seemed OK....but it pales in comparison to the original....Jason O'Mara just wasn't cut for the lead

I thought O'Mara was incredible. So was Keitel and Imperioli.

I still need to watch the British version.

I think it was because he was overshadowed by Keitel and Imperioli....he just seemed stiff to me

O'Mara was great in Band of Brothers.... all few minutes of it. :hehe:

Did that show get a proper series finale? It seems like I read that it did somewhere...

I watched an episode or two, thought it was alright.

It did. At least ABC was good enough to give it that.

Awesome, I book marked that page and will watch some later this week.

Not at all. It was a fantastic show that failed because people are more interested in watching reality TV and dumbed-down bulls***, so its cancellation annoyed me. NBC was good to it, which is why I said "the US public" instead of, y'know, "NBC." :o

I tend to believe, in some instances, that if a show is genuinely good....people will watch it....catering to a niche audience seems to only work for cable now....I don't get Lost...I think it's stupid, yet it's a hit for ABC....

In some instances. For the most part, though, the general public seems to flock to everything I hate. American Idol, reality TV, Desperate Housewives, etc.

Granted, Journeyman as a concept would've definitely worked better on Sci Fi or USA, since it was pretty much a classic sci fi concept in a modern wrapper with a heavy emphasis on character drama as the fallout from that sci fi concept intruding on everyday life. It's a shame NBC/Universal doesn't migrate shows to more sensible networks rather than cancel them.

Sci-Fi has been very clear about not wanting to be a dumping ground......they even put out a press release when people were pressing them about Jericho

I know. Which is pretty stupid, since they clearly have no idea how to make quality programming on their own. "Another Stargate and something vaguely connected to Battlestar Galactica" does not equal a great fall line-up. :o

They want to succeed on their own....I can commend that....as long as people tune in for their "Sci-Fi original movies", which get them great numbers by the way, they want to win or lose by themselves

Good. Hulu has fewer commercials, is free, and I can watch stuff whenever I want. :oldrazz:
