Burn Notice

I'd like him as a guy, but as a character, he needs to be a supporting character. Making him make things tough for Mike is fine when it revolves around his burning, but this thing with Fi is just dumb.

Yeah , Fi is Mike's woman. Jesse also has tension with Sam.

Another great episode. One of the hidden gems of this show is Maddie. The stuff she comes up with on the spot to help out the gang is awesome. Like she did with the congressman.

I mostly don't like Jesse, I find him annoying and I feel takes time away from the rest of the group.

Also, what happened to the Michael working for the new people storyline? We haven't seen any links to it at all recently.

I loved Sam's reaction to Michael when asked if he knew about a certain bar. lol

the people mike works for want him to hunt down the people jessie's looking for

I would love to see Michael's new bosses show up again soon. I think if he started getting even more pressure from a different angle it could create a lot of tension with Jessie and hopefully that character will die in a cesspool...i don't like him.

I freakin love Burn Notice but this season feels like something is missing. Everything is great on paper, new characters, great guest appearances, the trio in action, etc. However, this season has yet to entertain as previous seasons did.

Am I crazy? Next week's episode looks awesome with Simon back, but I can't lie saying that so far, it's been slightly disappointing.

Ive actually missed the previous 2 episodes , and somehow I havnt really been bothered by it.

The kidnapping episode was real weak, only salvaged by sam driving that guy into the wall, but then kinda ruined by Fiona saying, "wow you drove that guy into the wall"

I like Jesse just fine, and I've been enjoying this season just as much as previous ones, if not more so. The couple episodes Donovan directed himself were fantastic.

This season feels weird to me too. I might be jaded by this show perhaps. Sure it's still cool , but it feels off for some reason.

^"drifting" being the key term. it does seem slower than usual, but i have faith that it's gonna pick up real quick.

That's what I mean. The only episode I wasn't crazy about was the kidnapping one, and I'm fine with this "calm before the storm" feel, as long as it pays off in the end.

This weeks was the best episode so far this season IMO, it's been a slow burn, hopefully this coming weeks showdown with Michael and Simon will kickstart the last 8 eps.

here is what i am hoping happens...

michael talks to simon. simon gets in his head after they fight for a bit. michael has a moment of hesitation for what they are doing. simon uses that one instant to escape. and michael feels like a total tool. michael chases him around the city trying not to let him get to any of his resources. simon shoots fi/sam/jesse/madelin(hopefully he would kill jesse) and then michael kills simon. forcing him to take protection from management. and giving him even greater guilt and drive.

but that is just what i hope happens.

oh and madeline is the best actress on this show. she definitely showed that this week.

I completely agree. I think the season-long plot with Jesse has been great, I'm liking Jesse himself, and barring an episode or two that didn't grab me as much, this season's been just as good as previous ones. I like seeing Maddie take a more active role in all of the spy antics, too.

I'm fine with Jesse.

but bothers me are the freaking product placement, especially cars. ughhh...

Sometimes it does get a bit distracting. I'm fine with showing the labels on beer or trying to prominently display the logos on cars and such, but when the chase scenes start feeling more like car commercials, something's wrong.

Or how Michael kept using the car phone feature. First the close up of him pressing the phone button and then making sure we hear everytime he uses the feature. *groan*

I believe there was even a scene where Sam practically sounds like a car ad, talking about the features.

I started liking Jesse early on when it occurred to me that we could've gotten an obnoxious "OH HELL NAW" Chris Tucker type.

Decent episode this week, the scenes with Michael and Simon were well executed and I like the twist with Vaughn.

Trailer for next weeks:
