Yes. For the exact reason he gave.you may not agree with him but seriously how can you not understand where he is coming from? It's a terrible casting choice in terms of they didn't cast an actress.

Sorry man, I can't take it seriously if "This is a terrible, awful choice" comes across as a "reasonable" statement in your books, that is the textbook definition of unreasonably stating his own opinion like some kind of objective point.

Saying "I don't like this choice, her acting resume doesn't convince me" is reasonable, declarative statements going This is terrible! can't be considered reasonable.

Obviously not purely dedicated to WW but dedicated to landing a role on par with it. Something iconic, a role that people in years to come will remember you by.

Listen, I get vaguely what you mean, but I'm assuming WB put some time into looking for who might likely be good. Your statement made it seem like WB shafted some poor candidate that had fantastic acting ability and looked remarkably like Wonder Woman. I highly doubt that was the case. Considering who the shortlisted candidates were I think Gadot was probably the best of the three.

Since everything needs to be spelled on this forum though (not at you directly, in general), I'm not trying to implicitly make the case that Gadot is some diamond in the rough fantastic actress, but I think she'll pull this particular role off at least acceptably.

He's a movie fan. We're on Superhero hype forums, are you telling me you've never once used hyperbole for any BvS related piece of news? Why is it people online are never treated like humans, he got heated. Are we supposed to to a close look at every word. He said this once, multiple times since he's cleared up what he said and people have tried to convince you but it seems we won't see eye to eye on this.

I don't remember exactly who they were but I don't remember liking the choices too much. I in no way think WB shafted anyone but I gotta believe that in a world full of woman actresses with a role like WW there must have been an actress with solid acting credits who tested. Why they weren't picked I'm not to say.

Campea's skepticism isn't entire unwarranted. When Gal was cast, she was exceptionally thin and had a limited filmography full of throw-away bit parts. Now the argument could be made that those roles didn't give her an opportunity to flex her acting muscles, but the point still stands. Not much to go on, and what we did have to go on wasn't much.

And hey, if you thought she was terrible in those roles, it stands to reason you're not going to hold her in high regard as an actress. So when she's cast as one of the most iconic females in pulp culture, yeah, you're probably going to have an opinion about it.

Sure I have, but I'm just some yahoo on a forum. He's apparently a professional, just because he put a disclaimer before his statement doesn't stop it from sounding like he's jumping the gun.

Again, I'm specifically referring to his initial reaction. More than once I've said I give the guy credit for stating that he's open to being wrong and that he's behind this movie. I'm not claiming he's trying to bring this movie down or that he's some unhinged BvS hater at all. All I'm saying is him behaving a little more rationally shouldn't be such a hard ask for a guy that does this for a living.

Elodie Yung and Kurylenko. Elodie Yung is 5'5'', I'm not sure how frothy the mouths of the fan boys would've been but I'm pretty sure it would've been crazy, "WW is a midget now!" comments would've been rife. And whatever criticisms/skepticisms count for Gadot count equally for Kurylenko, except I feel like Gadot looks more like WW, but that's personal preference.

It's possible there's a solid actress who tested, but I'm pretty sure if she fit the role better than any of the other candidates she would've been shortlisted instead. People can say what they like about Gadot's acting experience (it is fairly limited, if one compares her to some of the co-stars) but from the trailers she seems to have the presence to pull this role off. Is she ever going to win a Golden Globe or an Oscar? I don't know, but that has little relevance to whether or not she can pull off WW.

i have watched campea for awhile and i respect his opinion and i am a big fan of what he does but my problem with his gal hate is not because he is not sure about her thats perfectly fine thats an opinion.

you can feel she is a bad actress,or dont see what they see or have an apprehension to her in the movies thats fine

but campea has said several times that WB/DC made a huge mistake casting her thats what i dont like and highly disrespectful for someone who auditioned several times,screen tested and earned the role

Campea has always stated that he wasn't blown away by her in the Fast series so he had some concerns from that aspect. Add in that he felt the WB was "hiding" her and he started to fear the worst. I think he's come around now a bit though right?
