The Batfleck praise is exciting.
Definitely what I'm most excited for.
The Batfleck praise is exciting.
As an actual film critic, I don't let anyone's opinion phase me. I just found it interesting, that's all. Joe, at least in the regards to the film's first few trailers, didn't like the film, or at least had large doubts.
We are all here, in some way, shape or form, to find out what people think, and stir our own excitement over it. At the end of the day, the entire process is silly, because our own experience, and thoughts are going to shape what we think.
Fixed.
Or important in any other way.
I'll sometimes watch reaction videos just to see people geek out, but the moment they either seem to be faking it, or taking themselves too seriously, I'm out. That's my issue with Grace Randolph, for instance. Takes herself WAY too seriously and acts like her opinion ought to carry any weight, despite the fact that she sometimes seems like she couldn't logic her way out of the bathroom with the lights off.
A few more positives:
genuine laugh out loud moment there![]()
Well, it sounds like it might be suffering from similar issues to Snyder's past work but maybe less problematic than before.
It's because those youtubers are effectively a voice for fandom, they exhibit the same enthusiasm and love for these properties as everyone in this forum, so naturally people are going to want to hear the views of someone who is like them.
Did roach post anything? I dare not venture outside this thread for fear of the Great Spoiling!
I saw what you said, and I have seen what you have been saying since the project was announced. I stand by my post. The vast majority of the tweets are positive, a few are middling and a super minority (like 1 or 2) hated it and you bring up how other movies were received well before they sucked. Now maybe it is a coincidence that you and a few others rain on parades every time people get hyped but I have been around fandom long enough to doubt it.
I am sorry you arent going to like this movie, and we, the fans who are hyped will stipulate that yes Craptastic Four and Green Lantern had positive reactions early on. We dont need you and others to tell us that every few pages like we are toddlers.
I apologize if I mischaracterized you, and I mean that honestly.
It's what he does. You'd be better off ignoring him trust me. He never really likes much either.![]()
Wanderlust Trey ‏@terrance_may 2m2 minutes ago Batman v Superman was like a 98/100 first viewing but like there's SO many hints at other movies.
Dillon Borrego ‏@BorregoDillon 5m5 minutes ago
Batman V Superman was exactly what I wanted it to be. 2 and a half hours of pure badassery
armando ‏@armzmxz 2m2 minutes ago I liked #BatmanvSuperman. It exceeded my expectations, but then again my expectations were low because of Man of Steel.
Air-ick ‏@KmsAirwick 2m2 minutes ago I'm really depressed to say I didn't like batman v superman much. I'm still gonna give it a second watch, but over all the jam packed stuff
A.C. MacKenzie ‏@ACMacKenZ 4m4 minutes ago One of the most anticipated sequences in #BatmanVSuperman is also one of its worst.
The only channel I subscribe to and value is Superhero News. Those guys are great, very knowledgable, very fair and they don't take themselves too seriously
The majority of the rest either like the attention too much or they feel as though their opinions count for more than the common man

I'll definitely agree with you. I think the only YouTube 'personality' I'll ever put faith in, in any regard, at least in terms of intelligence, is RedLetterMedia.
That being said, most are entirely personalities, like Jahns or Stuckmann, that sell themselves, more than their knowledge, intelligence or their ability to properly critique.
Speak for yourself mate. I'd hate for people to think angry Joe and tyrus what's his face and that other idiot with the dreads speak for me!
No, I believe he said he saw it. That's as far as I read.
Well they don't speak for me either, however there's a large portion of geek fandom they do speak for.
Broseph, you've gotta quit bashing jmc for doing the exact same thing you do, just on the other side of the spectrum.

And thats the sad part![]()
I'll drop it because you said so flickchick. But I don't do the same thing. I'd rather just discuss the things I love and the positive stuff. There's plenty I dislike or downright hate. The stuff I downright hate I just don't discuss at all usually because there's really no point. But the stuff the irks me and bothers me I definitely discuss. I do so in TWD forums and Gotham forums for example.![]()
Same people that live at Hot Topic, probably.
No offense to those that frequent Hot Topic. Most of my encounters there usually end in me arguing with someone over semantics.
The Indie Revolver writer said -- "I wish I saw the film you saw then. The entire third act was video game cut scenes and silly dialogue."
That's precisely what I was afraid of. I know the MOS action sequences are lauded amongst the fan community but they largely did come off as video-gamey to me. I was hoping this one would be much more real.
No one's going to mistake it for real life photography, but for now I'll at least maintain that unlike MOS, this battle was so much more fun and exciting to watch. It's basically the Hollywood live-action version of this:The Indie Revolver writer said -- "I wish I saw the film you saw then. The entire third act was video game cut scenes and silly dialogue."

Lol, I've been on with you on these boards for years now, and you are at least as relentlessly positive as jmc is cynical. You've admitted as much on more than one occasion. And that's not a criticism, it's a nice way to be, but you've just gotta stop dissing him for being the same way - just on the other side.I'll drop it because you said so flickchick. I tuned out of the MOS battle after a minute in. I was on the edge of my seat for BvS.
