You mean is Kara somehow an ancestor of Atlanteans and Amazonians? I don't think they'll tie every metahuman race having Kryptonian origins. That cheapens the lore.

They're embracing the universe completely: See full magic with Wonder Woman, Enchantress, El Diablo, Katana, Black Adam and Shazam, and what have you.

I hope Kara being an Atlantean/Amazonian progenitor gets killed with fire. I'm fine with Kara being Captain America'd through Kryptonian tech. Those space *****s were supposed to preserve Zod and his crew for "300 somatic cycles" however long that is. At least there's a precedent.

^ He's got that sonic blaster for Kryptonian ears. He'll probably use it on DoomZod for a bit, he'll evolve past it and swat Bats aside, breaking the gun. Then Batman will grapple all over the place or something. Wondy, I think, will be the one to take out Doomsday. Batman and Superman will take out mechsuited Lex for the finale. Probably leaning towards a Batman win. Supes will see he does need help, aaaand credits. Maybe an after-credits scene with Wondy or future JL members watching the events on tvs or something. That'd be cool. Or Darkseid writing on a chalkboard, trying to get the Anti-Life equation! Lol. I can see it now!

Personally, what I like about this movie is that it sets up the Justice League.

Because I really don't feel like I want to or have the time to watch all the individual solo movies just to get to a Justice League movie.

I'm glad DC isn't following Marvel's style.

America dropped two nuclear bombs. I can't see how things were any more black and white back then.

And Finland allied with Germany to fight Russia because of opposition to the Soviet Union. Both Stalin and Hitler gained allies by presenting the other as the only other opportunity.

Both sides deliberately bombed civilian areas in major cities on the theory it would end the war sooner.

Stalin relocated whole populations such as the Crimean Tatars to Central Asia on the grounds that some had collaborated with the German invaders.

On the other hand, while the Kurdish fighters who we ally with in northern Iraq appear at times to undermine the rights of Turkmen, and we find it hard to do much against Boko Haram after they killed thousands and kidnapped hundreds of young girls leading to "bring back our girls" campaigns because the Nigerian government itself has engaged in human rights abuses in fighting Boko Haram. Nor are some of the local state governments Boko Haram fights exactly running religious freedom and other civil rights friendly regimes, just not as extreme as Boko Haram wants. Still, in general it is easier to see those involved in fighting for ISIS as part of the evil than all those fighting for Germany in World War II. Germany was an established country and many of the soldiers fighting the Battle of the Bulge or at Stalingrad had no desire to advance Nazi ideology. They were drafted into the army and fighting because of it.

So it seems that the world always has gray elements and black and white ones. I think we get exposed more to the grey elements, but they existed in the 1940s as well.

Especially as Cavill has said he's in JL1 and the concept art for JL1 showing him as one of the members.

It doesn't make sense given Cavill's comments and the art. Amy is supposedly in JL1 too. Another reason it wouldn't make sense.

WB has not officially released the roster of JL members for the first film but it is pretty much given there will be 6 at least. The six shown on the poster.

Superman being dead does not mean that the top ranked journalist in the world has to leave our films.
