Up All Night Creator Departs Series

Three different showrunners in under a year, a change in format and now the loss of the show's creator? Yeah... good luck getting that third season.

I hope Applegate, Arnett and Rudolph are looking for other pilots.

Yeah, but he's gonna need something else to spend his time on. If AD continues, it's not like it'll be year round.

They'll do an animated series for the third season.

Looks like another series where the creator's show was taken over by the network, producers and a showrunner matched to the wrong show.

Hope the stars get paired with new projects though Arnett at this point has to be like "what's the point?" and just try something on cable.

Why the **** are so many people watching The Big Bang Theory? :o

too many contaminated gene pools out there perhaps?.. :o

a good dose of brain chlorine should help with that...

I bought a Nielson box in the basement (for ratings) and left it on Big Bang Theory and Two and Half Men just to piss Saywer off.

You are worse than the terrorists! :argh:

20 million people?! A 6.4 demo?!

All the holiday marathons/DVDs people got for Christmas seems to have grown the show for Nielsen Families.

Community comes back soon and Big Bang is only stronger. Ugh.

1600 Penn joins the other NBC comedies so yeah I don't know what NBC's strategy is for Thursdays next year as their "broad" comedies are failing more than their "niche" comedies.

It's because CBS skews older.

Young people don't watch TV anymore. They use iTunes or tablets now.

They do skew old but there are still plenty of 20 and 30 somethings who watch the show giving it a giant demo.

Deadline:
Rupert Wyatt To Direct AMC Pilot ‘Turn’

EXCLUSIVE: In his TV directing debut, Rise Of The Planet of The Apes helmer Rupert Wyatt is set to direct AMC‘s period drama pilot Turn, from Nikita creator/executive producer Craig Silverstein and Barry Josephson. Based on Alexander Rose’s book Washington’s Spies, Turn is set in the summer of 1778 and tells the story of New York farmer Abe Woodhull, who bands together with a group of childhood friends to form The Culper Ring, an unlikely group of spies who turn the tide in America’s fight for independence. The project, from AMC Studios, is written/executive produced by Silverstein and exec produced by Josephson. Turn was one of two period drama pilots AMC ordered in November, along with Halt & Catch Fire, from Breaking Bad executive producer Mark Johnson. Wyatt is repped by WME.

NCIS has gotten to the point where I think every episode feels the same.

Oh good, I've always wanted to commit bee genocide. :o

Eventually every crime drama/procedural show starts feeling the same after so long but there are people who will still watch them on a weekly basis regardless.
