Im not sure which is worse, soaps or reality tv. Im waiting for them to mate and birth some even more horrifying hell spawn.

Reality TV is far worse. FAAAAAAR.

I'll always rate scripted tv over reality garbage. No exceptions. That even includes The Big Bang Theory. :o

Well, yeah, Big Bang Theory is better than everything. Bazinga!

The only good reality-show is COPS. Especially 'shots fired' episodes. :o

I was going to make a Kim Kardashain joke, but then I thought of Dirty Soap.

As a daytime soap fan, dirty soap was sooooo stupid. It was just a night time reality show about daytime soap actors...on E!...so stupid. It was lame. And, came off very scripted. Thankfully E! canceled it after one season of like 8 episodes.

Big Bang Theory is awesome, Sawyer. You just hate it, cause it's awesome.

Also, I've noticed CBS comedy shows have cheaper looking sets than daytime soaps :funny:. Everything looks like it's shot in a studio lol.

Big Brother is the ONLY good reality show!!!
You know the only reason that show exists is for Julie Chen to have a semi-legitimate job at CBS while being married to the boss. Same goes for her daytime talk show.

Big Brother is the ONLY good reality show!!!

:argh:

No. COPS! Nyah Nyah! :o

Big Brother is just like Survivor, except it takes place in a plush, tricked-out mansion instead of a desolate, scorching-hot island, which actually might make it interesting.

I hate to be the guy that pessimistically ****s all over something before he's given it a chance, but everytime I see a promo for Do No Harm, I just think to myself that it is going be so DOA...

I just think how it's a rip off of My Own Worst Enemy.

And we all remember how well that did.

Pretty much, yeah. I mean, it looks like it's going for complexity, which is going to turn off the idiots who just like shiny things, but then it also just looks poorly done, which is going to turn off the people who actually like good things. And this, unlike My Own Worst Enemy, doesn't even have a name actor in the lead role.

I just don't see it going well.

Come on guys, his name is Dr. James Cole.= Dr. J. Cole. = DR. JEKYLL!!!!!

I have to agree

on a sidenote...the cancellation of Ben & kate..is somehow YOUR FAULT SAWYER:cmad:

Sure, I'm responsible for only like 2 million people showing any interest in that show. :o

Anyway...
Allison Janney To Co-Star In Chuck Lorre’s CBS Comedy Pilot ‘Mom’
By NELLIE ANDREEVA

Comedy pilot Mom has solidified its status as frontrunner for the fall CBS schedule. The project, from the network’s biggest hit maker Chuck Lorre, already snagged Anna Farris for the lead. Now it has also scored Emmy winner Allison Janney. Mom, which Lorre co-wrote on spec with two members of his Two And A Half Men team — executive producer Eddie Gorodetsky and story editor Gemma Baker — centers on Christy (Faris), a newly sober single mom who tries to pull her life together in Napa Valley. Janney will play her mom Bonnie, who is the source of a lot of Christy’s previous problems, most likely because she wasn’t the best mother.

Mom landed Janney in a competitive situation, with three other pilots pursuing her. The project reunites Janney and Lorre. In 2007, Lorre and his Two And A Half co-creator Lee Aronsohn developed a CBS comedy pilot for her to star. The same year, Janney also guest starred on Men. Jenney just returned from the Sundance Film Festival, where she had two movies, Lynn Shelton’s Touchy Feely and The Way, Way Back, which was acquired by Fox Searchlight in a blockbuster $10 million deal. She is repped by Gersh, Thruline and attorney Peter Nelson.
Allison Janney potentially being tied down to a Chuck Lorre sitcom? That's disappointing. I love that broad...

As a comic reader, I'm always surprised when I see 2 million people described as "only." These days if a comic sells 40,000 copies it's a runaway blockbuster. :(

Rob Corddry To Star In ABC Comedy Pilot ‘Spy’
By NELLIE ANDREEVA

Rob Corddry has been tapped as the lead in Spy, ABC‘s single-camera comedy pilot based on the 2011 Sky 1 comedy produced by Hat Trick Prods. Spy centers on Tim (Corddry), a well intentioned father of a highly intelligent and verbal son, who also happens to be his complete opposite, who inadvertently takes a job at the Secret Service in order to prove himself a worthy father. On the British series, the role is played by Darren Boyd. The original series’ creator Simeon Goulden wrote the U.S. version, produced by ABC Studios and Hat Trick and executive produced by Goulden and Hat Trick’s Jimmy Mulville. Corddry, creator/exec producer/star of Adult Swim’s Childrens Hospital, recently did arcs on ABC’s Happy Endings as well as on Fox’s Ben & Kate.

Jeff Garlin To Star In Adam Goldberg’s 1980s Family Comedy Pilot At ABC
By NELLIE ANDREEVA

EXCLUSIVE: Curb Your Enthusiasm‘s Jeff Garlin is set to star opposite Wendi McLendon-Covey in ABC’s single-camera comedy pilot How the Hell Am I Normal, written by Adam Goldberg and to be directed by Seth Gordon. The project, inspired by Goldberg’s experience growing up in the ’80s with a highly screwed up but loving family, is a family comedy set in the ’80s that centers on in-your-face mother Beverly (McLendon-Covey) and hot-tempered father Murray (Garlin) who love their three eccentric kids so much, they can’t bear to see them grow up. Gruff but loveable, for Murray calling you a “moron” is how he parents. A rageaholic, Murray struggles to stay calm after his last heart attack upon a stern warning by his doctor. Veteran comedian Garlin is probably best known for his role as Larry David’s manager/best friend on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, whose feature is unclear.

I like the premise and I love Garlin. If this gets picked up, I'd definitely give it a shot.

But God I hope this doesn't mean Curb is done...

Garlin tweeted that Curb isn't over and that he would return if Curb came back.

Are ABC promos really claiming that America has fallen in love with The Neighbors?

Ok, I gave Community another shot and really enjoy it now.

But I still hate Big Bang Theory.

You should never have hated Community to begin with. :o
