Turn could be good, the Culper Spy Ring is pretty interesting subject matter and Bell is a decent actor.

I really like the sound of the Ravich pilot, I just hope they cast well with the lead.

Pushing Daisies‘ Lee Pace is dipping his toe back in the TV waters as the star Halt & Catch Fire, an AMC drama pilot from Breaking Bad EP Mark Johnson.

Set in the early 1980s, Halt & Catch Fire chronicles the personal computing boom through the eyes of a visionary, an engineer and a prodigy whose innovations directly confront the corporate behemoths of the time. Their personal and professional partnership will be challenged by greed and ego while charting the changing culture in Texas’ Silicon Prairie.

Pace will play the confident and powerful Joe, the smartest guy in the room who is two steps ahead of both his allies and his enemies. Once a superstar salesman at IBM, Joe recently departed under mysterious circumstances only to resurface at a Dallas tech company called Cardiff Giant. It’s here that he demonstrates an ability to masterfully seize control, even as his demons continuously threaten to rear up at the most inopportune times.

Mackenzie Davis is set to co-star as Cameron, a talented but volatile computer programming graduate student whose aggressive exterior has everything to do with protecting a vulnerability underneath.

Chris Cantwell and Chris Rogers penned the script and will serve as EPs alongside Johnson and Melissa Bernstein.

Vegas is a period piece?

Huh, I didnt get that AT ALL from the previews. Not a great job advertising wise

Well, the advertisements talked about the early days of Vegas. So...you know...

A couple years ago it was the 60's that were in vogue (Mad Men, Pan Am, that terrible Playboy bunny show) now it seems like it's the 80's with this, the Americans and I'm sure there's another one.

Anyone else remember Oliver Beene? :o

I wish I didn't. Wasn't that show pushed HARD by Fox at the expense of better shows, but it was cancelled anyway because no one liked it?

I thought it was funny at the time. Then again, it was on when I was like 13, so... :o

I'll have to agree I thought it was funny at the time too, though I was 12. This was before I regularly accessed the internet so I kept waiting several sundays for it to come back until I realized the worst.

I believe NBC has one coming up called The Frontier.

I'm wondering that since pop culture is usually a 20 year cycle with its nostalgia, when will be seeing period pieces of the early 90s?

I'm a few years older than you and Parker. Back in the day Oliver Beene was OUR Two and a Half Men. People hated it, especially because it bumped some beloved show (forget which now) to the Friday night graveshift. And it was promoted like crazy, while much better shows were left to twist in the wind. Fox really wanted it to succeed for some reason.

I remember Oliver Beene! I must have been around 16 or 17 years old when it came out. Terrible show.

I never watched it, but I remember the advertising push.

Thought it looked stupid.

Mary Elizabeth Ellis (It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) is set to star opposite Will Arnett in CBS‘ untitled Greg Garcia multi-camera comedy pilot. The project, written and executive produced by Garcia, centers on Jack (Arnett), a recently divorced guy whose life gets more complicated when his parents have marital problems of their own. Their mother (Margo Martindale) moves in with Will, while their father moves in with Will’s sister Debbie (Ellis) and her husband. Perfect Couples alumna Ellis, repped by Evolution and CAA, recurred on New Girl.
Now they've got the Waitress, too? Seriously, this had better be ****ing good.

Hannibal full trailer released

This is MUCH better than that terrible teaser. Finally interested in this thing.

Although...Fishburne saying "Can I borrow your imagination?" made me suddenly long for a new Matrix movie.
