Just read up on this and it sounds good to me.

If they get the tone of the books right it is ideal for a TV show. I am interested to see if they re-imagine how King and Maxwell meet as Split Second would take at least a 2 parter to adapt.

Well, it's got dat Rebecca Romijn, so...

She's an interesting choice, the hair colour is wrong but she has the right build and as an actress I can see her portraying the different sides of Michelle pretty well.

They won't be stupid enough to make that mistake again. If they're ousting Leno, that's gotta be it for him.

Anyway...

Paige Turco has joined CW pilot The 100, based on Alloy’s books. Set 97 years after a nuclear war destroyed civilization, it revolves around 100 juvenile delinquents sent back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet. Turco, repped by Gersh and One Entertainment, plays Abby, mother of Clarke (played by Eliza Taylor) and the authoritative chief medical officer of The Ark space station.
Love her on Person of Interest. I could see her on a space ship. She kinda reminds me of a young Kate Mulgrew anyway.

Aside from a few sci-fi series, i'm not really looking forward to most of that.

Briga Heelan Set, Skylar Astin In Talks For The Leads In TBS Pilot ‘Ground Floor’
By NELLIE ANDREEVA

TBS is close to locking in the leads of comedy pilot Ground Floor. Skylar Astin is in negotiations and Briga Heelan is set to star in the project, written by Bill Lawrence and Greg Malins and directed by Gail Mancuso. Ground Floor, from Warner Horizon, is set in the world of corporate America and takes the Romeo and Juliet story to the workplace. It centers on Harvard grad and master-of-the-universe-in-training money manager, Brody (Astin), who falls hard for feisty and intelligent maintenance supervisor Jennifer (Heelan), whose education ended after high school — a Romeo/Juliet pairing that could rattle their class divisions to the foundations. The two would join previously cast John McGinley. Heelan is with Gersh and Thruline, Astin with UTA and Principal.
Bill Lawrence =

They got another 5 years out of him, but they still haven't recovered from having The Jay Leno Show 5 nights a week on primetime.

6 years ago he had the ratings that NBC didn't want to see go to a competitor. ABC was going to move Kimmel back an hour and scoop up Leno. Now Kimmel is very competitive against Leno.

Leno might find a some spot on cable where he does his standup and interviews one guest for a half hour show or he just moves his hour long show to cable. I'm sure there is one cable channel that sees some value in him for another 5 years. Unfortunately Comcast owns a lot of them.

Maybe he'll end up on CNN with Jeff Zucker now in charge of that network.

Such a dumbass idea. Leave late night out of primetime. What were they even thinking?

Saving money in development costs but they didn't seem to think they would lose viewers who just stayed up to watch Leno. Local news and Conan took the hit in the ratings and the affiliates that he worked hard to make happy had the power to get Leno off the air.

First Look at How Am I Normal? Pilot

I was already sold on Garlin and Wendi McLendon-Covey as the leads. This just sold me even harder. :o:up:

Those sweaters are glorious. GLORIOUS, I SAY!!! :argh:

Christian Slater To Star In ABC Pilot ‘Influence’
By NELLIE ANDREEVA

Christian Slater will play the other lead opposite Steve Zahn in the ABC drama pilot Influence, from Awake creator Kyle Killen and 20th TV. The project is described as a provocative workplace ensemble centered on the complicated relationship between two brothers — Clark (Zahn), a bipolar genius in human psychology, and Ross (Slater), a slick ex-con — who head a unique agency designed to solve their clients’ problems using the real science of human motivation and manipulation. Ross is described as a brilliant schemer, recently out of prison after a two-year stint for fraud. Roiling with ideas, given to rationalization, high-wired, often charmingly persuasive, divorced three years ago, also an inveterate ladies’ man, Ross has come up with a business model that he believes can make him and his team millions. UTA-repped Slater was recently seen in Bullet To The Head and Fox comedy series Breaking In.

So basically...he's playing Oz again.

Awesome. Loved that character.

Josh Lucas & Lynn Collins To Topline A&E Pilot ‘Occult’, Lifting Cast-Contingency
By NELLIE ANDREEVA

After a lengthy casting process, Josh Lucas and Lynn Collins have been set as the leads of A&E‘s drama pilot Occult, produced by Transformers helmer Michael Bay and written by veteran genre writer, The X-Files alum James Wong. With Lucas and Collins on board, the project, originally picked up in September as cast-contingent, is going into production. Occult, which draws parallels to X-Files and Fringe, centers on Dolan (Lucas), an FBI agent who returns from administrative leave after going off the deep end while investigating his wife’s disappearance. Eager to be back on the job, he is paired with Noa Blair (Collins), an agent with her own complicated backstory who specializes in the occult. Together, they will solve cases for the newly formed occult crimes task force. Wong executive produces with Bay and his partners at Platinum Dunes Andrew Form and Brad Fuller. The pilot was laid off at ABC Studios, marking the studio’s first collaboration with A&E.

A&E’s other pilot, Those Who Kill, has been garnering strong buzz for a series pickup, which may come soon. The network’s straight-to-series, 10-episode Psycho prequel Bates Motel, premieres March 18.

anyone hear about this one from the UK?...

In the Flesh is a new 3 part BBC Supernatural drama series which begins on BBC Three on 17th March 2013 at 10pm. It was created and written by Dominic Mitchell. So, Karl Urban for Human, the new JJ Abrams project with the robot cop partner. I'm in.

Christopher Meloni To Star In Fox’s Justin Halpern/Patrick Schumacker Comedy Pilot
By NELLIE ANDREEVA

One of the longest and most persistent courtships this pilot season ended successfully last night when former Law & Order: SVU star Christopher Meloni signed on to topline Fox’s untitled Justin Halpern & Patrick Schumacker comedy pilot (aka I Suck At Girls), from Bill Lawrence’s Doozer and Warner Bros TV. Meloni fielded interest from about a dozen pilots this season, turning down all offers, including the Halpern/Schumacker project at first. But the producers came back to him, and he ultimately agreed to do it. Helping the cause was the fact that Meloni and Lawrence have known each other for a long time, and Meloni did an episode of Lawrence’s NBC comedy series Scrubs years ago. Based on Halpern’s book I Suck At Girls, the single-camera comedy tells the story of a boy becoming a man, and a man becoming a father, in a time before coming of age was something you could Google. It centers on a father, Jack Dunlevy (Meloni), and his teen son Frankie (Connor Buckley). Jack is ex-military, and an oncologist. He talks to everyone like they’re 75-years-old and dying of cancer: just a no bulls–t guy.

Meloni, repped by Gersh and manager Bill Butler, has been focused on features since leaving SVU in 2011 in addition to doing a major arc on HBO’s True Blood. He has features 42, Man Of Steel, Sin City 2 and White Bird In A Blizzard coming out this year.

I woke up this morning to find my vagina had disappeared, my name had been restored and I was numberless once again.

Yesterday was kind of a wild day.
