I think its pretty amazing that you cant even recognize that its Christian Bale in that suit.

That's largely because Bale actually has the perfect chin/jaw for concealing his identity as Batman: an unremarkable one. Batman's traditionally been portrayed with a jaw like Eckhart's, which may seem ideal, but really it would be a dead giveaway of the man behind the cowl. With Bale, what stands out most is his cheek bones, which are of course covered when he's wearing the mask.

Good point. I guess there has been a lot of discussion about Bale's jaw. I think that they could have made the cowl more square and that might have highlighted his jaw shape a little more, but not enough to reveal his identity.

Heh, I could see it happening. Seriously, that is a bad shot of him. Hopefully Nolan kept its duration the same as in the TV spot: minimal.

The new cowl is my favorite aspect of the suit.

Love the expression and the fact that it appears more streamlined with the smaller mouth area.

Yes eggyman is a fan too, he has that thing about eggst:, personally I think his head looks more like a light blub.

I don't mind the over-worked look; it's just the cowl. But hey, what can you do? The best thing about this suit is that Batman is going to be able to move like a true ninja.

He obviously liked it and approved of the designer's choices. So, lets wait another 3 years for them to fix (?) the suit.

Well, like you said its only ONE shot of it. I dont have any problems with the suit because I think it will look better when the film is actually running. Plus there will be more scenes of the batsuit so its good to be hopeful.

I have to admit it looks bad in this shot. Weird how it looks awesome in some shots but lame in others. The should have just widened the neck a bit so it wouldn't make him look so puny.
