Keep this about the suit, I don't want to see anymore debate over how Saint or Regwec post, if you don't like their long essay style, then don't reply to them.

. needs a solid red breast too. I'm surprised the word "brainiac" hasn't been thrown around at all during this little fued, I heard it all the time when I was in primary school.... Seriously though, I don't know about anyone else but I come on these boards to read other peoples opinions, not just two-line tittle-tattle between obsessive fanboys, so for that I thank posters like saint & regwec, for actually saying something, and if that takes an "essay", then so be it.

No, that's just the vibe you get, because polysyllabic words make you feel inferior. That isn't Saint's fault.
Here's the thing; Saint is not posturing as an intellectual just by using varied syntax, and a dose of logic. If he spuriously name-dropped Wittgenstein in every other paragraph then yes, he would come across as a posturing charlatan. But he doesn't- he just gives reasoned discussion on the subject at hand.
why dont you two get a room?
Right, so after "stop using the big words!" comes "u 2 r gay LOLz!!".
You are in danger of achieving the kind of message board that you deserve.
You forgot "U eSSay post iz 2 long!!11 ZOMG."
If it's any consolation, I enjoy Saint putting dumb people in their place.
I don't see what the problem is...are some of you that illiterate that it hurts you to read Saint's or even Regwec's posts??
After reading through posts that are either nonsense or just repeats of something you've heard too many times to want to remember, it's actually a nice change to read some well thought out posts...and with points to them as well.
Not saying the rest of the posters don't have good posts...a lot of you do, I just don't see why people need to hate on others who don't like to use slang and like to use proper/correct English.
Some do not write the way you do so they assume you take an "extra" effort in writing. In reality its just your writing style, and every writing style varies
Saint isn't over-writing his posts because he knows how to use a semi-colon. Take some Adderall for your textual ADD or just ignore his posts. A fair amount of posters would rather read and respond with essays than see a bunch of "teh suit is gayzorz" messages. I don't see why anyone has to call him out because he organizes his thoughts and writing; it actually makes the posts EASIER to read.

t:If any of you had to wear the first one then you would love this one as much as I do, laughs Bale. Its all about speed. Its about [Batman] needing to be faster than he was before. But why does Bats require a faster outfit? According to Hemming, the story demanded the update.
I had seen this before, but stumbled upon it again. Some of you may find it a neat bit of info.
I just had to say anyone who goes against Saint or Regwec deserves what they get and "IZ liKE A tOtAl 'tArD LoLZ!!!!!!!" Their posts are the stuff that siggys are made of ... and I for one am proud to see that at least the American public education system has not yet destroyed every brain in this country

Ask Saint for his Batman paintings. You ll see. What does this mean?
Well, i'd rather have a small, techy, modern, beautiful belt that can fit cars in it, rather than a huge plummer belt with huge pouches. At least make the pouches more modern. Maybe out of something else rather than leather. Make the belt out of metal like in BTAS or something.Explain how it is more awkward than the Begins/TDK belt. As I already explained, the size of the compartments is going to be dictated by the size of the gear he is carrying. This means the compartments will be just as big and awkward or just as small and unobtrusive regardless of which belt he's wearing, and regardless of whether the pouches are metal or fabric. If anything, the the police-style belt will be less awkward, by virtue of the waist strap not being metal.
Nice to know you think I lower the standards.yeah they're annoying sometimes (actually alot of the time) but the guys who actually manage to express themselves in more than two sentneces are what make hype worth coming too. When i joined up here you'd never see pointless drivel filling up the pages like you do now, wasting our time and lowering the overall standard, you'd be embrassed to post such nonsense. so hooray for saint, regwec, guard, crook, keyser soze and the all other old bastards who keep this going in style.

. what's up with the red and gold though? add too much colour to the suit it becomes a bit Power Ranger or um, Iron Man
. needs a solid red breast too.

I like the way you think and the way you analysed this subject. On the other hand, i just feel that a black belt would make batman too dark. Just look at batman in BF and B&R. Its unnoticeable. I mean, he is still a superhero. We dont need to get carried away with practicality and realism or we would end up closing the mouth opening with a gas mask (joker and scarecrow both use gases. What the hell are you thinking bruce?).Visually, both styles of belts would work for me. As far as I'm concerned, the issue is more with the colour of the belt than with the material. I think the golden belt from BB and TDK stands out a little too much. It is acceptable (and after all, faithful to most comics) but a dirty yellow belt would be better, or ideally, a grey or black one.
Now when you think about it, Batman's belt is very often the target of his enemies. They know almost all his gadgetry is hidden in its pouches, so they often go for the belt to incapacitate him in some way. This is especially true in BTAS. That's why I think a metal belt is more suitable to Batman. If it was just a regular belt, and let's say the Joker managed to knock the bat out for a few seconds, he'd have plenty of time to unfasten it from his waist and throw it aside, thus preventing him from using any Batarang and co.
But with the BB belt, if you only had 15 seconds to remove it and you weren't familiar with its design, your first reaction would be "How the hell do you take that off???" and you'd probably spend a lot of time trying to tamper with the front buckle before you realize the actual buckle is in Batman's back.
Now I realize that this is a very specific example based on a very hypothetical situation and in the Nolan verse, most enemies would probably go for the kill anyway instead of trying to disarm him and tie him up in some fancy trap. But in any case, a metal belt would protect the gadgetry of Batman far better than a fabric-pouches one would. With the latter, you'd run the risk of ripping open one of the pouches during a fight and lose one of the items or get the belt stuck in a barb wire fence or the likes, thus slowing you down and again risking the loss of one of the gadgets.
Those risks are avoided with a metal belt.
Visually I'd probably go for a fabric belt such as the one in Hush, cause I'm very fond of Jim Lee's Batman design. But as far as practicality is concerned, I'd go for metal. A dark grey metal belt.
Just having fun, not that I EVER want to see Robin in a Nolan Batman movie... "he's in a crib somewhere" - Chris Nolan

Batman is still a superhero and IMHO his design needs to evolve to go with the times. I mean, we got rid of the yellow emblem because it was kind of cheesy and took away the aspect of intimidation. That should happen to the belt as well. It should be more modern and even a bit unrealistic. Did you guys take a ruler and measure his batarangs to see if they fit the belt in B89 or BTAS? But on the other hand we dont need to erase this emblem as well. We dont need to give him fur and fangs to make him a real bat-man.
I say we should keep the yellow belt.

He might as well just be Nightwing, if he's going to be that old.
The more I look at this suit the more I like it. Just something about it, more advanced and meaner looking than the Begins suit.
