It is pretty terrible; but then again - what did people expect?

They couldnt really feature a proper image of Cap as there probably isnt even a finalised movie costume yet; hell, even if there is, they werent going to have it's big reveal in the Hulk movie.

There's promo image releases, designed to create buzz, for that kinda stuff.

A brief glimpse of outline of an actual man encased in ice, with a faint hint of blue and red visible. Not a full reveal, but just enough to make the connection.

Not a scan of Cap crudely superimposed into frame.

The whole scene had a loudmouth swearing, acting like his is all this but then he walks right into Hulk and Abomination and then backs off.

It was cut to just seeing him for like a second.

that wouldnt of been the actualy shield though, its just the pattern. if you look at it, u can tell its even layered... its not even a shield

I think someone said that in the Iron Man DVD extras they have some story thing and it says Stark's father was working on some project during WWII to create some undestructable armour, so Cap's shield was created. Then in modern day Stark got the blue prints for it and used the design and such of the actual shield to create his own and for his armour.

yeah it's a nice cameo, too bad it wasn't in the film, but it would have been kinda hard for that scene to work in the begining of the film. Nice way to set things in motion for cap (caps broken ice chunk floats out to see, for someone to find)

I think that says it all really;

Anyone with any sense should have known that they wernt going to properly show Cap; that was proetty much a no brainer - but I think we were all suprised at the lameness of what we actually got.

Not a bad cameo IMO. I just wish they would have kept it in the theatrical release. If the want to hype Cap's movie they need to start up now. Maybe do some virals like they did for TDK.

I never understood the point of the viral marketing. They were basically hyping up those who were already hyped up.

it was the little touches like this that made Iron Man and TIH better than TDK in my opinion....These films were a glimpse into the Marvel universe...Shield, Ten Rings terror organization(a hint at the Mandarin), the Rhodey/Warmachine comment, the super soldier serum....
