Have they ever made a Captain America frisbee??
cuz i'd totally buy one

I found one once, but it was crappy quality, i want something more official!

You know what I was thinking?

How much time does Cap really have to become the top tier fighter that we know from the comics? Sounds like he won't have a ton of training and experience before he gets frozen. I wonder if they are going the "SSS makes your brain function better as well" route so that he can be the expert strategist/martial artist that we all know.

Kind of makes me wonder how they will handle that. They may play a gifted but young Steve that hasn't really fully come into his own yet from a skill perspective.

I think they will likely go the SSS route to explain away much of his skills. A few lines of dialogue during some training scenes would do the job (one of his instructors commenting at the speed he learns everything they can teach him). Plus he will be having some training pre-serum, so they could say he shows potential natural ability there, but lacks the body to do anything useful with it.

I think one of the toys being released for the movie is indeed a frisbee :cwink:

As far as I recall "Behind the Shield" is the first place, re. the film, that it's been mentioned that the shield absorbs any impacting force......with that in mind......couldn't Cap survive a fall from great heights as long as he "shields" the impact.

He can and has in the comics numerous times*. If they do make a point of the Shields ability to adsorb concussive force (would love it if they have him stand up to a tank shell for example) there's no reason they couldn't use it in that fashion for the films as well.

*btw..Black Panther also uses Vibranium in his costume and his boots so he can jump from greater heights unharmed as well.

I hope so.... it would be amazing to see Cap, shun an offered parachute, dive out of a plane, plummet in a controlled free fall, land shield first, in the midst of stunned Hydra troops and finish off the whole sequence and the Hydra goons, with an awesome acrobatic attack!

So I was watching Troy not too long ago, and was paying particular attention to how choreographer Richard Ryan had Achilles uses his shield and such... and I sure hope they'll do something similar with Capt, plus some shield throws. Too bad they didn't get him (Ryan) for Capt...

I think there will be 3 montages in the film....

Skinny Steve training, SSS Steve training, Cap various mission montage. Don't know if that is far to many but if done well, I'd be able to deal with the old montage routine several times. :)

Fan voting for the Cap premiere has my city, NEW YORK CITY, in 1st place! And NYC is winning by a large margin!

Hope fans and regulars could attend the premiere because that'd be amazing. :awesome:

Seriously I would drool all over the theater if I watched him repel a tank shell.

Not sure if they'll do it in the movie, but for the movie's video game, they show him dropping from a plane and landing on his shield.

Saw him do that in one of the comics. Christ, if only I could remember the story or the issue.

In that video game trailer, he did repel a stream of fire or something fire-like, probably from a Hydra flamethrower. Which was sexy in and of itself.

I'd eat my hat if they didn't show Cap landing on his shield from a very high place or using it to repel something very explodey.

One can hope we get an awesome scene like that.

I want to see an epic scene of Steve jumping out of a plane during a war scene and just awesomely descending to the battlegrounds.

If I see Cap doing his thing jumping out of a plane, my face will be mesmerized.

From an interview with the screenwriters:
Q: What did you get to do that you always wanted to do?

SM: There’s a train scene that I’m really proud of. I’m really excited about that. It’s all ours.

:awesome:

T r a n s f o r m e r s : D a r k o f t h e m o o n

Haven't we covered the trailer's debut..A LOT!

I know, I've been waiting to hear news of one. I heard about a description, but didn't read it.
