Infinity War Captain America|Steve Rogers - Chris Evans

Cap's beard will win IW.

Cap goes from getting stomped by Loki to catching Proxima Midnight's spear and possibly kicking her ass :oldrazz:

Get MY MAIN MAN a SHIELD!!!! awwwwww YIIIIIIIIIIIIIS!!

(sorry just saw the trailer)

Imagining this scene with bearded Cap is making me salivate.

I can't wait to see his new shield. Hopefully, Marvel went old school and we get the classic silver one (shown in the first image below).

Rumor has it that Marvel is going to digitally remove the beard in post-production. :o

They used the fibres of Cavill's digital tache to create Cap's beard.

Im hoping we get this scene. Im guessing Thanos wins in this one,. and then Avengers 4 will be where the Avengers finally topple him. In that one we need Rogers back as Cap,. red white and blue just staring down Thanos

I agree. Cap also absolutely needs to shout "Avengers Assemble!" I'm still salty that Whedon refused to use it in his two Avengers movies.

They probably were holding out for it to be used in this film or the next Avengers film. It'll hold greater weight considering how many characters there are in this.

Really interested to know what those Wakandan gauntlets he's wearing can do.

Great shot, and a dramatic introduction for Steve Rogers (at least in the trailer). Once again I'm reminded how perfect Chris Evans is for the role, and how great it is that the MCU exists as a 22-film shared cinematic universe that allows actors to build on their performances.

The new suit, the longer hair and beard, the grim expression on Steve's face, covered in half-shadow ... it all sells this as a new chapter for his character and potentially exciting arc. I can't wait to see Evans' performance, as I think we're going to see a different side of Steve's character now that he's rejected his identity as Captain America.

It kind of reminds me of how Chris Hemsworth said in an interview that the simple act of cutting his hair for Thor: Ragnarok made him feel like he could approach the character in a new way, and I think we're going to see something similar here. I still haven't seen Ragnarok, but I'm told we see a slightly new approach to Thor that plays to Hemsworth's comedic talents. In this case, we're all getting to see who Steve is "without the shield". The character himself is trying to figure that out, and I think that process of self-discovery will be exciting to see.

I wouldn't at all be surprised if this new look and direction was inspired by Mark Gruenwald's legendary story arc, Captain America No More.

:hmr:That shot of Steve leading the charge--

Look, I love seeing Cap in full costume. And I get that hardcore comic geeks wanna see the costumes in all their glory. I really do. I want color and style in my superhero movies.

But that one shot cements the thing that Marvel has gotten SO RIGHT with their movies: Namely, that I don't think of Chris Evans' Steve Rogers as a dude in a costume. I think of him as a CHARACTER.

And that character is a noble, humble, haunted, sad, flawed, loveable badass mother-jumper who I will miss like hell when he's gone. Chris Evans nailed it. He's my Cap. And he rules.

100% agreed. I cannot wait to see Cap in this, and no doubt in one of these movies, they will need him back as CAPTAIN AMERICA at some point. But, I love the new look and where Cap is starting off in this film. I just really hope he finally gets to say the Avengers Assemble line! I think Cap may very well steal the movie.

I agree. Save it A4, after Thanos completes the Gauntlet. Cap finally says "Avengers Assemble", and we see EVERYONE line up behind him. That would be an epic moment.

It reminds me of the last shot of him in CW, when he stepped out of the shadows in Raft.
