They looked yellow/gold to me, but I am a bit colour blind sometimes.

Its a low quality look. On my screen the stars and piping looks Silver/white. As I said I hope I am off and it's gold/yellow.

Is this gonna be like that blue dress/gold dress thing? lol

So dunno how valid this is, but-

Marvel has set Geneva Robertson-Dworet to take over and write the script for Captain Marvel, the Brie Larson-starrer that will be directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (Mississippi Grind). Meg LeFauve & Nicole Perlman originally were set to write the script, but LeFauve had to leave to co-direct the Disney Animation pic Gigantic.

I didn't even know one of the original writers had to leave.

EDIT: Ninja'd.

Deadline is legit.

I'm pretty sure LaFauvre and Perlman already submitted several drafts to Marvel and likely did a quick polish once the directors came on board.

But a bigger opportunity opened for LaFauvre, so I'm not surprised she moved on.

I'm thinking Meg LeFauve & Nicole Perlman will get the 'Story by' credit for this movie.

Isn't that the woman who is (was?) also writing Gotham City Sirens? The one whose resume is just a list of upcoming movies? Okay.

That's her, yes. Maybe it's just a polish of the original script.

Her work has made The Black List twice, which is encouraging.

So is Gotham City Sirens on hold until Captain Marvel is done or is Gotham City Siren's script already complete?

She also wrote the new Tomb Raider movie. Hoping for the best.

They didn't specify if Perlman was moving on or staying, but she said on Twitter:
Nicole Perlman @Uncannygirl 6h

Happy to confirm my pal Geneva Robertson-Dworet will be the next writer to help guide #CaptainMarvel's journey to the screen. She's stellar!

Nicole Perlman @Uncannygirl 6h

I was lucky to have the years on CM that I did - I'm excited to see where Geneva (who's got incredible character chops) takes our beloved CM

Keep in mind, Fleck & Boden are writers themselves, not just directors.

It sounds like Perlman's done, and Geneva will be doing re-writes on their last draft. They'll all have story credits by the end. Wouldn't surprise me if Fleck & Boden did too.

Is all the above good/bad/inconclusive? :)

Considering nothing Geneva's written has been released yet, I'd say it's pretty inconclusive. But Marvel knows what they're doing. Spider-Man: Homecoming ended up having like 8 writers, a few of whom had some really unimpressive credentials, and that turned out great, so I'm not worried.

I see, thanks. I have faith and really look forward to what they are coming up with. This is one script I'd love to get early eyes on.

I didn't love HC quite as much as everyone else seemed to, although it was certainly good and a hell of a lot better than what had just come before. Also Holland was totally perfect as Spidey.

Gonna be honest, was never too thrilled with the script being written by Perlman. Don't think Guardians completely qualified her for this, or just the previous in-house experience in general. Then again, don't know what I think about them handing it over to another newcomer.

I for one am very excited that Perlman is back in the game. Guardians had a extremely tight plot and that's part of the reason I think it was a shame they handed it over to Gunn alone for the sequel. Better dialogue too.

I thought Perlman/LeFauve were a very exciting team to have scripting this, but I've no problem with them bringing others on to work on it, either.

I have high hopes for the tomb raider reboot so I like what I'm hearing

How that turns out could be a good indicator of what we might get.
