Lmao!:wow: Are You Serious! WoW...I think you may be one of those "starlet stalkers." The best thing about that film was John C Reilly & Jason Mitchel...those two carried the film.
You're right. Reilly was the best thing, followed by Larson and Samuel L Jackson. I totally forgot about him.

I actually liked Hiddleston in KSI.:yuk: He and Brie and KONG were the best parts!

A smidge of mascara to enhance those lashes, some eye liner for definition and a bit of eye shadow for that 'smokey eye' effect would really make those baby blues pop!
:D

That smirk! :hrt: Now this is Captain Marvel.

By the way, I just stumbled upon this article by Scott Mendelson.
'Captain Marvel' Trailer Shows What Makes Brie Larson's Carol Danvers A Hero

His analysis of what's wrong with the CM trailers is freaking spot on, in my opinion.

"[...]the sell isn’t just 'what makes her a hero' but also what makes Captain Marvel worth seeing beyond the customary he being a she.

Yeah, I know, we’re not supposed to care that Brie Larson smiles, but I will choose to care that Larson smiles while cracking low-key jokes or otherwise wins laughs. I still maintain that a big reason why Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow became so popular is that she was both a "fierce" action hero and a deadpan joke machine.

So we get more outer-space adventure, more origin story material and more of what will make this 21st MCU movie different from the previous 20 MCU movies, aside from the obvious one. Yes, it’s a big deal that Captain Marvel will be (embarrassingly?) Marvel’s first female-led solo superhero flick after 20 previous movies over 10.5 years. But merely offering 'It’s like those other Marvel movies you like… but with a girl!' isn’t that much of a sell.

The more Captain Marvel emphasizes its outer-space adventure, especially one less wonky than Guardians of the Galaxy, or sells itself as a backdoor pilot for worlds to be explored in Phase Four, the more it will stand out as having a reason to exist beyond merely showcasing a female hero. That matters, but there has to be more than that."

Seriously, I just can't get over how badly Marvel is dropping the ball on Captain Marvel. Why are they doing this. The trailers for Ragnarok and Black Panther were so damn hype.

Oh yeah, where? Because I'm pretty sure me and another user are the only ones who have made the same argument, at least here. That article is also proof that it's not just ill-intentioned people who are criticizing the way Marvel is marketing their first female-led movie.

EDIT: I see you've edited your post, well I'm not changing mine. And screw that horse. :o

I hope no one has said you are ill intentioned. People have all sorts of reasons to dislike something it’s totally fine. Nor should you change your mind. Having someone else feeling the same way doesn’t make it more or less legitimate. It’s a feel good factor albeit could be repetitive to others.

Hype?

The Captain Marvel trailer was watched 109 million times globally in 24 hours after being released, ranking it as the 11th most-viewed trailer of all time.
Fourth most-viewed superhero movie trailer (behind the Infinity War trailers and Ragnarok)
Most-viewed trailer on Marvel India.
Fourth most-liked superhero movie trailer (behind the Infinity War trailers and Venom)
Second most-liked MCU trailer, behind only Avengers: Infinity War.
... etc.

Yeah, people love the MCU. Don't be surprised when the Far From Home trailer reaches similar results.

EDIT: Anyways, it seems like they're about to show something at CCXP. Probably a clip of the movie.

Found this description of the CCXP footage on Reddit. Spoilers, I guess.

Ok! So I got the chance to go to CCXP and I met @captainmarvelnews he was great! And I saw the Captain marvel footage and the brie interview .

So they took our phones to make sure no one could record (typical marvel)

So I will say I apologize to brie Larson for doubting her acting and Carol . Those damn trailers do not do her justice and I honestly feel pissed about it. She’s very funny and charming, which is why I don’t get why the hell they cut those trailers the way they did. Movie is WAYYYY colorful then it looks in the trailers, Carol is not as serious and bland as the trailers portray her. She’s actually a smartass and reminded me of starlord maybe even Tony a little with the captain America emotional tie.

So 1. Yes Law is a mentor, there’s a training sequence too where they walk in and he instantly hits and knocks her down, smooth clean scene .. and she tries to control her temper as her hand glows (obviously about to wreck his ****) and he tells her she needs to learn to control her powers and temper ( brie and Jude have great chemistry and you feel her anger.)

That scene where the laser in her head? Yeah that’s the Skrulls . They’ve captured her and tied her hands up and are using the machine on her. “Her mind will tell us what we need.” Talos ( I think, he sounded like Ben) says. So they want some information out of her head. She wakes up as we saw in the other trailer. And she uses her strength ( she’s strong as ****) to break out but can’t use her photon Blast because her hands are restricted by a machine. So she has to “do it the old school way.” And proceeds to kick Skrull ass, well choreographed fight as well. You can see the stunt double a little but they haven’t fully added Brie’s face digital yet but the scenes you see her clearly in she’s awesome.

A skrull tries to scare her by screaming at her, she screams back and smiles and punches him in the face ( it’s an excellent scene, funny and classic MCU. Brie is funny as well.) And gets the Machines off and blasts the ship to pieces before escaping in an escape pod.

Also she says higher further faster.

They showed skrulls changing, it’s mystique but more smooth? like but looks painful also you can see it. The skin sheds over and over until the new skin of formed. It’s cool.

Carol reminds me of starlord actually, she jokes a lot especially with Maria Rambue .

There’s also a top gun looking scene where Maria and Carol are joking and making fun and gossiping about their Air Force teammates (it’s very funny too, showing the typical MCU comedy.) And Maria and Carol Board their planes and Maria says “let’s show these boys how to do it!” - Great scene , showing sisterly love, feels real instead of like actors. Great job to brie and lashana!

Yet none of this was in the trailers. Because amnesia. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

EDIT: This one is a bit more... professionally written.
We Saw Skrulls Shapeshift in New 'Captain Marvel' Footage At CCXP - MCUExchange

According to him, they were treated to a clip of a scene from the trailer where Carol is hung upside down and trapped in some probing device by the Skrulls and Ben Mendelsohn‘s Talos. Talos describes Carol’s mind “having everything they need” indicating some secrets they’re dying to get their hands on. Carol breaks free from the probing device but is restricted from using her powers thanks to a nullifying device. So she screams at the Skrulls saying she’ll do it “old-school” and proceeds to beat them up with ease. She then manages to destroy the nullifying device and blows a hole in their ship, blasting the remaining Skrulls away to space. The clip ends with her riding an escape pod.

Tiago says this clip transitions into a brand new sizzle reel which showed a heck of a lot more good stuff than this week’s trailer. Annette Benning‘s mysterious character describes Carol being “reborn in Hala,” which fans know to be the Kree homeworld. A quick training scene with Carol and Law was also shown. It showed them walking in a training arena where Law’s character knocks her down. Carol lights up her fist and he tells her she needs to learn to control her powers.

They also finally revealed some actual shapeshifting. At a very quick glance, Tiago described it as a smoother, more reptilian version of Mystique’s transformation in the X-Men films. But upon seeing the transformation a second time, it was described as “several bits of human skin growing and they meet eventually to form an actual skin.” He also compared it to the particle visual effect of the Reality Stone in Infinity War. Tiago loved it so we’re definitely optimistic about it!

Brie tweeted out the crowd reaction to the new footage.
They seemed to really enjoy it.

'Captain Marvel' Trailer Shows What Makes Brie Larson's Carol Danvers A Hero
...Seriously, I just can't get over how badly Marvel is dropping the ball on Captain Marvel. Why are they doing this. The trailers for Ragnarok and Black Panther were so damn hype.

And so was the Capt Marvel trailers. Both of them. I think they were great and I'm super hyped about them. Personally, I'd rank them Rangarok, Captain Marvel and then Black Panther. As far as I am concerned they haven't (yet) dropped the ball. They're sprinting down field with it!:cwink:

As to the CCXP footage, we will see it. Either in the last trailer or in the movie itself.

Black Panther's trailers left me cold and these didn't, so whatever. Opinions, we've all got 'em.

I'd agree with Thome's rankings of those Marvel trailers. Ragnarok's was one of the best Marvel has had.

This movie for me went from absolutely irrelevant to get me very hyped, both trailers are awesome and all about it looks great.
Looks like a complex, dramatic movie with lots of science fiction, timelines and Marvel cosmic stuff, the protagonist powers and story sound very interesting. It truly feels like a comic book movie.
I like that it looks serious and i hope that the jokes are not the kind that get in the way of the story or characters, but i doubt they will drop the ball being the bridge to Avengers Endgame.
2019 is gonna be an awesome year with Captain Marvel, Avengers Endgame and then finally Dark Phoenix, i cannot wait.

The descriptions of the shown scenes and how the characters really are vs the trailer gives me hope that once the marketing campaign starts, we start seeing the personality that many are complaining the trailers lack. To me, the trailers are really just Marvel hiding as much as they can to keep the mystery of her backstory quiet since it likely exposes some major plotpoints.
