well there goes my dreams of becoming the worlds most amazing screenwriter :csad:

the problem with Shocker is that Spidey can easily dodge stuff shot at him. why would Shockers blasts be any different? he's best as a cameo villain, cuz all it takes is a dodge and a punch to take him out

wouldnt that make a great twist tho? someone who should be soo easy for Spiderman to beat was the one who caused the death of Captain Stacy.. i just dont see Raimi throwing away a villain for a cameo role.. see what he did with Sandman??

How about spidey and the Lizard are fighting in the sewers and the Lizard all of a sudden climbs the ladder to the manhole. After the Lizard crawls out of the manhole, the Lizard covers the manhole back up with the manhole cover.

Captain Stacy runs over and starts firing his gun at the Lizard as the Lizard runs away. When spidey gets to the top of the manhole cover, spidey pushes it open to hard and sends Captain Stacy who is standing on it to go flying into the side of a building breaking his neck.

In the comics, im pretty sure he died saving a lil kid from some falling debri caused by a fight between doc ock and spidey,

Behold, my avatar. :word:

I vote Lizard. Since Doc Ock is out of the picture (for now), then just basically re-tell that scene, replacing Ock with The Lizard.

What a ghoulish topic:o I think the main baddie in Spidey 3 should be responsible (to earn him a little villian cred) and all fingers are pointing at Lizard, so that's who I voted:)

Vulture should drop him from high in the sky. SPLAT.
That would be awesome:p:up:

It all depends on who the new villain is. If it's Lizard, then he should kill Captain Stacy.

I don't know how he should EXACTLY die, but it should happen while Spider-Man is fighting the Lizard for the first time. That way, Gwen Stacy would have a reason to "hate" Spider-Man for failing to save her father.

Lizard mauls him increasing Spidey's guilt.

I think it works.

Seriously, I think we've seen entirely TOO MUCH falling debris between the first 3 films that if I see more in the 4th I'll just boycott the franchise. Ok, maybe not, but really...no more falling objects. Off the man in a different way for the sake of...freshness?

I'll take falling debris over saving children from burning buildings anyday.:oldrazz:

ya..but why does Lizard have to be the colprit? y not Vulture or Shocker since it'll be a great way to connect them to Peter, Lizards already his teacher...if they made Sandman the killer of Uncle Ben i dont see why they couldnt make Shocker the killer of Stacy

Lizard is a stronger candidate to be a villain in sm4 than vulture and shocker, plus, Captain Stacey doesn't need to be in more than 2 movies. Lizard killing Cap' gives him a level of note-worthy menace besides the obvious fact that he's a primal 6ft lizard. Conners is a good man, a loving father and husband, mentor and friend to Peter. Lizard killing Cap, father of Gwen who in turn is a close friend to Peter is a deep and sad situation in itself. Spidey's left with a crisis of conscience as to handling the lizard situation...the potential story makes for great viewing and vintage spidey-story telling.

His purpose is required in order to flesh out gwen and also fill in some sort of positive role model for peter and an ally for spiderman, he's worth more alive than dead.

One thing i wished this film had done was to miss the whole 'venom is another character' thing and i wished the public would have thought it was spiderman, thus brining him back in line with being hated by all and having to work his way back up, not only with mj but with the people of new york.

stacey would have been his only lifeline to realise that spidey stopped venom and wasnt going on a rampage in his black suit.

Fine but this could still be achieved through out the course of sm4, cap gets to be in another whole movie, is fleshed out, alongside Gwen and then Cap is killed at the end.

Agreed. I'm a fan of, "the majority of NY dont trust spider-man". It just gives spidey's characeter more meaning and defines him more as a hero as opposed to being a glorified celebrity.

stacey would have been his only lifeline to realise that spidey stopped venom and wasnt going on a rampage in his black suit.

Another example of a missed opportunity to stengthen the characters involved and to capture the source material's state of mind, NY has of spider-man.

I'm not a fan of building up characters just to have them die, its a trait that is too familiar with spidey films...

let's have one spidey film where no one dies just for a change...

haha, that'll never happen. These spidey movies thrive on tradgedy.

but there really have only been two tragic deaths, uncle ben's and harry's and even harry's impact hasn't been properly analysed.

norman's, uncle ben's killer, ock's and venom's have been completley overlooked, not to mentioned all the people killed at the osborn testing site and at the world trad fair.

Well, what I mean is death is a tragedy in the sense that, regarding the characters in this spidey series, the way certain people end up or go through is quite tragic.

Look at Norman, he wasn't really a bad guy in sm1, he was pretty much bullied into perfecting a formula and handing over his company, you kind of felt sorry for the guy and what happened? He ended up being his own gunea(sp?) pig and ended up doolally. Eventually his antics led to his death, leaving a son behind, that's pretty tragic.

Ock. Another man who was good, hard working, driven, friendly and helpful and a loving husband. He became a monster and then tried to reddem himself by sacrificing his life...again, tragic.

Harry. He just became consumed with anger, resentment, rejection, hatred and felt cheated, thus being screwed up. However, he sacrificed his life for a friend who he has spent more than enough time hating, again tragic.

Brock. What's tragic about him is, he just came off as a wasteman. Instead of making the most out of his career with dignity, he ended cheating himself and thus became consumed with misplaced hate, although, symbiot spidey was a d1ck for smashing his camera. Anyway, Brock is young, he could have started a new life and a career elsewhre if he was determined to succeed in life but once he tasted the evil power of the symbiot, he lusted for it, as seen when he jumps back into the symbiot with a pumpkin bomb in tow.

Sandman. Thank God Raimi had the good sense not to kill him but I suppose at least with regard to the villains and especially in doc ock and sandman's case, the way in which they became super powered was tragic. Ock also lost his wife in the process and sandman just wanted the best for his daughter and like any parent who gives a damn, they'd do anything on this earth to help their child, especially if its a life or death situation.

....and of course we all know about uncle Ben, which is like, a focal point of tragedy in the entire spider-man mythos.

Captain Stacy..How should he be killed

- Carnage kills Captain Stacy
- Carnage kills his daughter
- Spidey kills Carnage

This way, at least we're not too far off from the continuity of Ultimate Spider-Man comics in which the last two of the aforementioned three actually happens.

None of the provided choices. Either Doc Ock comes back to kill him or Norman Osborn does. Though Out of those choices Electro seems most plausible. He gets my vote due to lack of choices, which this list definately doesn't have much of.
