Sequels How can they top or create a successful follow-up for the next three films?!

Hydro-Man's return. On their honeymoon she turned into water and then later evaporated. That's when Madame Web showed up for the Secret War.

Wasn't the Secret War before their wedding? Damn...its been a while. I have to watch the show again.

Don't use Kingpin...Black Cat would be ok to see on the screen.

I like the idea of Kraven hunting The Lizard and Spidey torn between stopping Dr. Connors' rampage and at the same time trying to protect him from Kraven. That would be pretty cool.

But wow, they really have to do a lot of work to make this one even close to being as good as the other 3. We haven't even seen the 3rd one yet, and you can already tell that this movie is going to be extremely hard to top.

Kingpin is awesome! I would love to see him in the film.

Kraven will only work if it's cast by a big star. The MAIN reason 90% of people are gonna see Spider-Man 3 is to see symbiote Spidey and Venom. So, how are they gonna top Venom with Lizard and Kraven? You get what I mean? So, Kraven has to be a big star.

Yeah, I know.

^Most people don't even know Venom is gonna be in this film, most people are gonna see spider-man 3 so they can see spider-man.

um. . .EVERYBODY knows that the Venom is in the movie. The trailers are showing symbiote Spidey. And, everyone knows that symbiote Spidey leads to Venom. Even if they are not sure that Venom is indeed the film they know that Eddie Brock is in the film and we'll get some kind of a cliffhanger kind of like Spider-Man 2.

^You said 90% of people know that Venom is gonna be in this movie, there are way more than 10% of moviegoers who have no clue that he is in this movie.

back to the spider-man always revealing himself issue, i think if that is the best route for the next movie actually. whether its lizard, sinister six, or whoever, they should know his real identity very well and haunt him on a day to day basis. i think there has to be some sort of struggle for the movies to work, and i think that is probably the most likely

Hey, as long as those 90% pay to see the movie we'll be alright. ;)

I think it would be much more unique if the villains didn't know his identity for a change!

How do you top: The Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Sandman, and Venom in terms of visuals, power, and story potential?

In a twisted way, Venom is kind of a goldmine of potential, since most of Eddie's material is weak and could be rewritten to be better.

I wouldn't make it so obivious that Doc Ock was back, I would leave clues behind for Spidey to figure out. The last and final clue would be an indentation of one of his tentacle claws somewhere, so when he sees it, he knows, and he starts to worry.

It would be more of a cameo, than anything else, 10-15 minutes tops. I would want to build up the suspense and surprise everybody. It would definitely have to do with Dr. Connors/The Lizard.

Exactly, most Venom fans have hyped Venom up so much, that they forgot who movie it is, idiots.

^That is why I can't wait to see Venom die in this movie, because they want to see Venom be a hero fighting Carnage in SM4.They really have forgot whose movie this is.

Its been some-what confirmed that the symbiote survives. . .so they are up to something.

I say make 4 a lesson of him now being more resilent and less "green" as he was in the first two (and in the third it looks like he is getting his crap together but is becoming too arrogant and gets sidetracked with revenge) and in 4 he now has to save a villain instead of giving up on them (like he did for Norman and Otto). Enter Curt Conners, who has a wife and kids, like what Pete and MJ has.

He sees the strain that being "super-powered" can be and how it may ruin a family, even with good intentions. He must protect him from the police, himself and Kraven the Hunter, who is in town trying to kill him as a trophy. Give Kraven a new AND DEEPER backstory (like Sandman). And the Lizard is a dangerous monster that Pete must use his scientific know-how to save. At the same time Kraven is now hunting him and it becomes cat and mouse (before the climax it would be amazing if he got a dramatic buried alive sequence similar to Kill Bill Vol. 2 but straight out of Kraven's Last Hunt).

Have it end dark with Pete having given hope on Conners but after Aunt May dies, revealing she knew all along, he realizes he is a good man and just not for Uncle Ben, but for himself he cannot give up on Conners like he did on Norman, Otto and his failure to save Harry due to his own selfishness.

In the end Kraven kills himself after he is defeated (changing it a little) by the Spider and thinks he killed the Lizard. Spidey saves Conners and everything is okay.

Then for 5 I'd bring back the symbiote and perhaps it melds with a sociopath named Kassidy (I know they are different symbiotes in the comics but hey, you have to condense for movies)?

But after 4 it will get even harder to keep it on Peter's inner-struggles and he and MJ trying to make things work. In fact by 5, and especially 6, I could see them being forced to face the ultimatum of the comics that he either continues to grow (starts trying/does become a father) or remain in the boring status quo (what has been killing the comics for the last 10 years or so).

I think 4 or 5 would be good. 6 may be pushing it before it becomes Bond-ish and too episodic, I'm afraid though.

That's awesome! Are you reading this Sony?!?!?! :cmad:

There is NO WAY any other Spider-Man flicks can top Spider-Man 3. Period. Venom is there.

^That's what we thought after the first movie, after SM2,and we will think it again after SM3,but SM4 will top it.

A philosophy I've come to adopt when it comes to Superheroes is that once they've faced their inner demons, there's not much more MOVIE potential left...btw, have u heard that Sam expressed interest in The Clone Saga?

He didn't want Venom in Spider-Man 3 and Marvel wouldn't want the fan boys up in arms. Carnage has a better chance than any clones showing up.

In my honest opinion, I think Spider-Man 3 will be better then the first two. I mean we've got three villains, what appears to be another excellent plot etc. I hope to high heaven that they will be able to follow up in SM-4, but for me to form a complete opinion, i'll have to see Spider-Man 3 first.

Besides, when the times comes, we've got the likes of Lizard, Electro, Scorpion etc, can't go wrong with em. Im sure their are lots of stories to be told.
