My job counselor just told me I made an 83 overall, had me pick five preliminary jobs, and hurried me out of his office.

I'll find out all of the scores and pick my final job when I see the recruiter on Monday.

Make sure you get all the information. In all honesty, you're just another quota to them. I don't know if 83 quals you for everything. They may be holding out on you. I got a 94, and that supposedly qualified me for everything, but it may be different service to service.

He's good for practically any job. Caretaker, get the jobs they want to offer you and bring them back here. Post them in this thread and PM me (been in AF 9 years)...I'll help you out. DO NOT sign up for any jobs right then and there no matter how much they pressure you...they're just trying to get you to commit right away without having to see you multiple times. If you don't want to list them here then at least do some research before you commit. Don't go in open general because then THEY get to pick your job for you. You're going to get placed on Delayed Enlistment Program (DEP) until there is an opening for you to go to basic then to tech school, but that's okay...it'll give you time to learn about your job and to research what the AF is going to be like.

It's true. I head up to Montgomery tomorrow to take my ASVAB. Then I get my physical on Friday.

If everything checks out, I'll be sworn in Friday afternoon. I'll probably be sent to Basic around November.

I'm pretty excited.
