Well I'm sure. But the thing is, since it's just pointless fanboy speculation and has no impact on the outcome of the actual film, it wouldn't kill anyone to go out on a limb occasionally and pick someone for a role unlike anything they've done before, just because they seem like they could do it, or because they think they would be well-suited to the role assuming they could, based on how they look and sound, and what kind of presence they have onscreen. For example, Eric Stoltz, though he has never played a psycho killer role, has the type of screen presence that gives me the idea that he could play a psychopathic killer convincingly.

I have 2 choices for actors that could possibly play Carnage in a Spiderman movie.

1. Ben Foster

This kid is a psycho in Alpha Dog and I think would play Carnage very well.

2. Jonathan Rhys Myers

This guy is known for playing freaks. He is a fantastic actor and could pull off Carnage.

No to Ben Foster. He's already played Spacker Dave and Angel. I don't want to see him as another Marvel character. It's just like when Rebecca Romijin was both Mystique and Joan. I liked her as Mystique but Joan she sucked as. Same with Foster---liked him as Dave, but hated him as Angel.

Robert Knepper, Adam Busey, and Sam Rockwell are my top picks.

At first I agreed with everyone on Robert Knepper, I mean he has the look but now I'm questioning if he could pull off the insane part. That guy from Harry Potter seems like the best bet at this point in time, he looks like him and he definitely pulled off the crazy part, but then you have to hope he can do a good "american" accent. Ryan Reynolds cannot do Carnage because he's the perfect Flash, besides it will be a long time before we see Carnage in a movie anyways.

Which guy from Harry Potter? Gary Oldman? Ralph Fiennes?

I think he's talking about David Tennant, who played Barty Crouch JR in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

He's another good choice for Carnage but IMHO he's more Mysterio.
