Cast the Marvel Universe - Part 1

I too would like to see a rotating cast for the Avengers. To be honest, I'm a little dissapointed the cartoon "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" is maintaining the same cast (mostly).

Eh, I like the character development that comes along with maintaining a more or less stable cast. The new season is going to have new additions to the team and guest stars though.

I would like the core to stay the same but see a variety of heroes fill out the rest of the roster through out the franchise!

Its only been one season so far. Season two is starting soon. I think they are approaching this idea slowly. We first started with Iron Man, Giant Man, Wasp, Hulk, and Thor. Then added Captain America, and lost Hulk. Later added Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Panther. Then lost Giant Man. I think the team will eventually become more of a rotating cast, just slowly and realistically. I know we will eventually get Ms. Marvel, and maybe the return of Captain Mar-Vell, and eventually Wonder Man as a good guy. So we are slowly developing these characters.
But with the movies I would LOVE to see the movies keep going once an actor's contract is up. I don't see Johansson or Evans or Downey Jr. sticking around to play their character once their contracts are up. Once Evans has done the movies that are in his contract for him to do he will leave. Same with all the others.
But since there are SO MANY AVENGERS, why not just bring the others in. Like in Law and Order when one lawyer left another stepped in, or when a cop left a new cop started. Why not just bring in other Avengers?
Have Giant Man and Wasp in Avengers 2 or 3, and then keep them as Avengers for three movies and they can leave around Avengers 4 or 5, and in Avengers 4 bring in She Hulk and maybe Hercules or Scarlet Witch. Keep them in the Avengers fro another three movies (Avengers 4-6) and keep bringing in new characters when the other actor's contracts are up.
You can work through so many characters, heroes and villains, and bring in so many storylines. Maybe eventually get the Avengers movies into the double digits.
Plus these Avengers movies could even become springboards for their own solo movies. I think a Hawkeye movie is in the works right? And maybe a Black Widow movie, and if they used a character like She Hulk or Herc they could get their own solo. Maybe even introduce a character like Dr. Strange as an Avenger (since he is one in the comics now) and that could lead to him finally getting a movie too.

In the last Avengers movie staring the original cast you can have them each leaving but they want the Avengers to keep going, like in the Earths Mightiest Heroes comic by Busiek and Kollins I think it was....
SPOILER...
Where Thor, Giant Man, Wasp, Iron Man, are leaving. But Cap is staying, and they tell him they are leaving the Avengers in his hands and he will lead the team of Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver, as Avengers.

So, in summary, my idea is that the Avengers movies don't have to stop once the original cast's contracts are up. Just fill in the space with other Avengers.

I think the way Earth's Mightiest Heroes is doing it is perfect. I think it was good for the first season to stick with a more or less solid lineup, establish the core of the team, how it works, how they relate to each other, how the team changes them, see how they start to work together more efficiently, how they sort of become a dysfunctional family. It would've been too much to do a lot of rotating first season.

The 2nd season they're bringing in new characters, Ms. Marvel, the Falcon, the Vision and Mockingbird will be on the team next season. We'll get to know those characters and how they work within the team next season. I think rotating characters in season by season instead of throughout the season is fine, it gives us a chance to really get into the characters instead of them just being like a random of assortment of characters vs a threat.

Looking forward to Vision and wonder when Wonder Man, pun intended, will join.

Wonder Man is already on the show, as a bad guy, in the comics he was only a bad guy for one issue. But the cartoon is drawing it out, probably to make him seem more like a bad guy and less like a good guy who did bad things one issue. Also in one episode he was reluctant to do bad things. So He is already on the fence and will eventually turn good.

here's a Fantastic Four cast I've been working on

Reed/Mr Fantastic - Dylan McDermott
Sue/Invisible Woman - Rachel McAdams
Johnny/Human Torch - Garrett Hedlund (for adult Johnny)...
....Jake Abel?(for younger teen Johnny)
Ben/the Thing - Paul Johansson

still working on villains an supporting casting

So the Inhumans movie is definitely in the works, who would be a good choice for Black Bolt?

Gosling would be wasted on Black Bolt. Give him something like Daredevil or Iron Fist.

Well, I see Michael C. Hall as Daredevil and Charlie Hunnam as Iron Fist. Though Gosling as Iron Fist pops up once in a while. If he knows martial arts, or can commit, then he's got the role.

Skarsgaard does click as Namor. It's practically Eric Northman's personality matched.

Hey, folks, I'm doing another casting call. Which role for the actors/actresses in the list below would you cast them?

Aaron Douglas
Alan Tudyk
Alyson Michalka (it can't be Dazzler)

I don't agree. He wasn't that great as the voice of Abe Sapien in Hellboy 2. I much preferred David Hyde Pearce.

to be fair, after being voiced by David Hyde Pearce, his voice wasn't great by comparison....

Who cares?
It's Black Bolt. Your face is hidden by a mask the whole time, and you don't have a single line in the whole film. Most anonymous role EVARRRRRRR

but you still need an actor who can do the role justice, someone who acts well with their body and face as much as they could with their voice if not even better. Am I right? I dont know a lot about Black Bolt or the Inhumans, But I know he has such a powerful voice he doesn't use it. So you'd have to use your body and face to communicate. I personally have no idea who could do that.

I was wondering. Has anyone tried casting the Ultimate Asgardians?
