The Dark Knight Rises Casting Call (All Villains)

I think Nolan can pull of a great Bane, not that moronic thug we got in 'Batman & Robin'. The one from the comics that's smart & can speak multiple languages. Plus, I think we need another villain who can fight Batman without Batman being the clear winner.

Bah, I always was intrigued by his creepy fascination with children, particularly girls.

He wouldn't work as a main villain, but the themes of manipulation, obsession, and undertones of a pedophilic nature are all appropriately dark and twisted. Makes for an interesting subplot or minor villain for a short story.

I like your suggestion of Bardem for Bane. I think he would fit the role nicely.

I think it's one of the few casting suggestions everyone agrees on.

I really hate Mad Hatter. Terrible villian.

I agree that he is not, at the moment, a good class of villain. But he has potential. Writers just need to figure out a good story or two to dedicate to him.
Plus, making him a midget is stupid. A midget villain is a foolish thing indeed.
Like I said, he needs to be given something good to work with. I think a lot of villains do. It shouldn't always be about The Joker.

I agree, though the pedophilic undertones may be too much for a PG-13 movie.

Bane could work fine. It's not like the Venom drug is that ****ing farfetched, it's basically an amped up version of steroids. I think he should be an average built guy, but when he takes the drug, it should pump him up some obviously, but not to cartoonish proportions.

Agreed. Very much agreed. Would make for a psychologically disturbing villain, which is perfect for these films. I think people don't like him because pedophilia is obviously a touchy subject. But that is why it could be quite inspired and ballsy to use him in a comic book film.

Andy Serkis for Mad Hatter.

Thank you, and you Crook, for understanding me. I myself am not exactly big on the whole pedophilia, but if it was toned down a bit to not rise alot of concern then he would be a good villain for Nolan's films.

I don't think WB would greenlight a plot involving pedophilia. If that did make into the movie it would have to be really subtle.

I think the studio and nolan could potentially make an issue involving something touchy as pedophilia subtle enough, and i do agree somewhat that the mad hatter could be a subplot, but to contradict that im not entirely sold on the idea (not implying that it's a bad one at all)
