The Dark Knight Rises Casting Call (All Villains)

Quick question, what is Christoph Waltz better for?
Black Mask or The Riddler?

I'm voting Riddler and just looking at his physique, not because Landa in "Inglorious Basterds" really totally riddler-ish.

Has anyone ever suggested [BLACKOUT]Jackie Earl Haley[/BLACKOUT] for Freeze? Because that's just sad.

I've noticed. LOL Hope this isn't some sort of sterotype or anything. :oldrazz: Christopher Guest or Laurence Fishburne would be rock on choices for the emotionally driven Mr. Freeze.

Well, it's embarassingly ironic I'm nitpicking about tihs, since my choice is also a baldie (Ben Kingsley).

But hey, when someone's perfect... :whatever:

He's a great actor but his recent films have been pretty god-awful.

That aside, I could almost see him as more of a Hugo Strange than a Freeze.

He was indeed stuck in the worst of streaks some time ago. IMO he works in too many movies, and is not really picky about them ("The Love Guru"???). But he has shone so much in his finest works that no matter how low he sinks he won't tarnish that. And he always ends up making a fine return to form. He did the abominable Species and What Planet Are You From, but then the fantastic Sexy Beast and the magnificent House Of Sand And Fog. Oliver Twist was a letdown, and The Last Legion should be considered a crime against humanity... but after that he made Isabel Coixet's Elegy, and any doubt about his true talent faded away. And now he's crafting a return to high Hollywood, with Prince Of Persia and Scorcece's Shutter Island. He will be on the spotligh again, and he has proven that no matter how low he sinks with his choises, he always flourishes in the right project, in very dependable ways.

:) Normally I would agree, but this is my Hugo Strange.

^ In a twisted way, I can see that work. However, he's my #1 Bradford Thorne, if his brother is used in the sequel.

Mr. Freeze: David Strathairn

Oooooooh, I like that. :woot: So far I've loved the idea of Christoph Waltz as Black Mask, but maybe if he were to channel his voice to be a little deeper and deprived of emotion, he could be a great Mr. Freeze too. LOL God, Riddler, Black Mask, Mr. Freeze, Green Goblin, the man is a contender for every role. I also think Stanley Tucci would do a good job with Freeze as well.

Great choices!
August Diehl as Edward Nygma/ The Riddler...interesting. He is another good option to play The Riddler.

howz about Stanley Tucci for Mr. Freeze?

Merryl Streep even called him a "Disgustingly talented" actor at the VH1 critics choice awards.

Shameless plug :awesome:

Hi-res:

Did it a while ago :awesome:

Ya know, I've come to think as well, I still think Christoph Waltz would be an awesome Mr. Freeze as well if possible; I mean, Black Mask is a smarter more realistic move, but I'm really curious how Waltz would portray this emotionless/yet emotionally motivated man deprived of the love he fights for. It would be so different from Hans Landa and how that character could relate to Black Mask; I honestly think he'd be better as Freeze. :woot:

I'm pretty sure Mr. Freeze will never appear in a Nolan Batman movie. Ever.

You'd be surprised; I've been working out the story for over 2 years now and have thought of unique concepts even Nolan couldn't put down. :oldrazz:

I'm sure he'll be returning your calls any day now.

Tell us about them. I was checking out the Mr. Freeze thread and some guys there had some of the most amazing concepts I've ever seen. No one can say anymore Freeze is too fantastical.

feed us, tell us!

Really? It's just a project I've been working on for awhile and been trying to get artists and such; basically I wanted to make an online comic book of a Nolanized version Mr. Freeze broken up in different forms of animation that work in rhythem together like GK. Basically, it's just my own diverse version of Heart of Ice, but basically filling more blanks, adapting to the Nolan series, and a couple of more added cameos and character swaps/adds to break everything down into my main aspect for character development. Like, instead of Ferris Boyle, he'd be replaced by Mr. Earle, and actually having Victor being an old friend with
whom I won't spoil until I actually have the story out
, and retelling TAS Freeze origin, but with more back story and dramatic glue that explains how Freeze acts how he is today and how Batman takes great sympathy for him.

Now I just need some artists and a few people to help me to flesh out the story, edit it, and make it adaptable enough to be put in print. :yay:

LOL Like I said though, Waltz as Freeze would be awesome; or possibly Laurence Fishburne.

See, that's where I beg to differ; if you actually watch a few episodes that he's been in and read some of his stories developed in 90's-today, he's by far the most realistic villian that Batman's ever had. If you could even consider him a villian so to speak.

Black Mask- Sam Worthington
Riddler- Michael Emmerson
Catwoman- Marion Cotilliard
Tali Al ghul- Eva Green
Penguin- Bob Hoskins
Deadshot- Kevin Durand
Joker Recast- Jason Gordon Levitt

I didn't think Joseph's older brother was an actor.
