Please excuse me while I **** my pants after looking at that pic.

I have weak nerves,lol.

I only like the Hu, Norton, Malkovich and Williams casting

Kelly Hu can't act, Norton's fantastic but not right for Black Mask, Malkovich is already a DC villain, and Williams wouldn't be taken seriously. The only one of his casting I like is Nathan Jones as Bane, and that's only if he gets dubbed over.

1)Wrong. She can act. Plus, this role would be right up her alley.
2)Wrong. Because he's listed as the Riddler, not Black Mask.
3)Who cares, they wont conflict with this role.
4)Wrong. You relaly dont know enough about Williams' work if you give that statement. If he would not have been taken seriously, you could have kissed One Hour Photo and Insomnia good bye. Alas, that is not the case.

1) Wrong. See X2 and The Scorpion King for more details.
2) My mistake. I meant to say he wasn't meant for the Riddler and would be better suited as a more in-your-face villain like Black Mask.
3) Just a preference. I don't really like it when the same actor plays two different comic book characters. And they typically don't do well, either. See Halle Berry as Catwoman and Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson for more details.
4) I'm not saying Williams cannot act in a serious role. What I am saying is that the market hasn't been kind to him in those roles.

What in the world are you talking about? Williams was brilliant both times he tried out dramatic roles. The "market" has little relevance when we're referring to a Batman film. It's not like an indie.

Simply put, Kelly Hu can act. She worked well with the very little she had to work with in X2, and despite being in crappy movies like Scorpion King and Cradle 2 the Grave, she was one of the few redeeming factors.

I can see Norton as Riddler or Black Mask.

As for the dual comic roles, I personally don't care as long as their different comic-verses. I don't see the problem with someone being in a Marvel and a DC movie. Berry was wrong for Catwoman and Storm, but her doing dual roles were not the movies' problems. Reynolds, who I find overrated but still enjoyable, was filler as Deadpool(a character who sucks) and while not my choice for Hal, I can see him working in the role.

And Williams can work well in these Batman movies; Especially considering he's worked with Nolan before and turned in a great, non-comedic performance.

In what movie was Kelly Hu ever good?

Fair enough, personal preference

I just think that the reaction Robin Williams as the Ventriloquist (as absolutely unlikely as it is to happen) would be greeted by more "WTF?" than "AWESOME!" Edit: Then again, so the announcement of Heath Ledger as the Joker was treated the same way, so I'll concede on this point.

Ed Norton is too weedy to be Black Mask.

I could see him as the Riddler though. If Ryan Reynolds can jump from a Marvel movie to DC,both his roles are the main characters, then theire is no harm for Norton to do the same.

Edward Norton as Edward Nashton/The Riddler. Well if Jack Nicholson can star in several movies where his characters name is Jack, then Ed can star in a movie where his name is very similar to his character, lol.

He is too perfect for the role. It would be cool to see him as a Fed again, like hunting The Tooth Fairy, only this time he becomes the psycho...damn he is similar in a lot of ways, haha.

Woah Woah Woah Woah Woah. This is not my Batman glass.

But on topic, I've always been critical of Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan. He was suited for Deadpool, but the writers of X-Men Origins (some of whom, I remind you, are working on the Spider-Man reboot) messed that up BADLY. And remember, before Reynolds was Hal Jordan or Wade Wilson, he was Hannibal King (shudders).

I love Norton to death, but he just doesn't feel like Riddler to me, he's a bit too 'weedy' like someone else said, and his voice matches.

Paul Bettany nails Riddler on the other hand, in my opinion. His demeanor, the way he stands, the way he talks with that wiser-than-thou calm voice. And the way he stares at you.. And when he lashes out when something doesn't go right is also pretty intimidating, yet it doesn't completely shed how sophisticated he is. Whenever I see Norton do that kind of thing though, it seems more like he's begging. I dunno.

I'm also interested in Guy Pearce, but I've not seen enough of him yet to make a call. Right now though, Bettany is #1. If you haven't seen him in anything Riddler-like, I recommend Firewall (with Harrison Ford).

Ryan wasnt my first or even tenth choice for Hal,but I wait in pray.

But with Norton,Ive seen enough of him to know that he would totally work as Riddler. I certainly dont have the fear of him,if he were cast, being like Frank Gorshin or Jim Carrey. He has the look and charisma of Riddler. A weak little man, with a competitive, sadistic and fiendishly intelligent mind...Norton could pull that of no problem.

Paul Bettany could do it perfectly as well. A real smug ****** just like Riddler,lol..

Honestly, after seeing Fight Club, American History X, and The Incredible Hulk, I can't imagine Edward Norton as "weak"

.

He's the perfect size for modern Black Mask. Sionis hasn't had that beefy look since like, the early 90s.

And I think a lot of people don't realize that Black Mask, despite the name, is not African American. I don't have any problem race-switching characters (the best actor should get the part, regardless of color), but it's just funny how many fancastings immediately go with black actors for Sionis.

I am more than aware that Roman Sionis is a white man in the comics. The reason I see Michael Clarke Duncan in the role is purely because of his presence and voice. In the late 80's and 90's that was what the character was about. His presence was assuming. And I always pictured him with an intimidating voice. Especially with that mask, on screen the character will really have to come through in the performance of the voice. Duncan has that over almost any actor in Hollywood. The man is an Academy Award Nominee, has no opposition to comic book films, has insane presence and could be a physical threat to Batman as well as a force in the underworld.

Would I mind a Leo DiCaprio or Guy Pierce "pretty boy" Black Mask who turns sadistic and calculated? No. But I think that the performance would have to be very good to come through the mask. I have always felt that Duncan could pull that off very well, black guy or white guy, his voice, talent, presence give him the role for me.

I'd also like to amend my Penguin choice to
David Suchet

He's great in The Bank Job I pictured him as Oswald the whole time...

@Robin91939:

I like Cassel for Deadshot in your cast, that's a good choice. I also liked him in the Ocean's movies. Also agree with Suchet for Penguin, great choice. I'd say he's my favorite choice next to Hoskins or Hoffman.

As for Ventriloquist, I was thinking maybe Stanley Tucci.

If Batman 3 continues the story with different people, and a limited budget:

Batman - Sam Worthington
Black Mask - Desmond Harrington, since he looks like Sam and I'd like it if they expanded on the two knowing each other as kids
Two Face - Ray Stevenson
Catwoman - Katheryn Winnick
Talia - Danielle Harris
Ras Al Ghul - Mark Strong, Lazarus Pits baby
Riddler - Neal McDonough
Freeze - Christopher Lloyd, whoever suggested this first was right on
Rupert Thorn - Ian McShane

That's all I can think of now...

Then Duncan's best for Tally Man.

God forbid if Roman Sionis wanted to remain the public eye and was Black Mask AND MCD was playing him, even Stevie Wonder could see that Roman Sionis and Black Mask were the same person.

Kinda like how it's obvious that L. Thomson Lincoln is the Big Man in The Spectacular Spider-man? Or how Martin Li is Mr. Negative in The Amazing Spider-man?

Its about misdirection...And in Gotham, it doesn't really matter if he's known to be corrupt, look at Maroni or Falcone. "Everyone knows where to find him, but as long as he keeps the bad people rich and the good people scared, no one'll touch him...What chance does Gotham have when good people do nothing?"
