****
Forget about flamingos. I see ostriches. I see ostriches running.
LOL that movie was such a total mind ****,seriously underrated. I kept thinking about the relation between God and Flamingos. BTW Falcone, Which scene that you particularly quoted? Is it during the hostage situation?

[BLACKOUT]It's part of the final lines of the movie, after Shannon gets arrested, he says to Dafoe: ''Detective, I want you to make one thing clear in your rapport. Forget about flamingo's. I see ostriches. I see ostriches running. *cue shots of running ostriches* And, whatever became of my basketball?'' And then they put him in the car and we cut to the shot of the basketball in the tree.[/BLACKOUT] Brilliant movie.

The point being made is that those things that you think make sense have zero impact on casting choices in reality. It wouldn't influence who she plays at all.

Not that I'm against the idea of her as Talia, of course. She'd be great in either role.
This.
Honestly, I've alwas thought that Marion's French accent is very unusual. She almost has a mid-Atlantic accent, assuming that she was educated in England.

Either way, yeah, she can most definately play Ra's daughter, and the accent just makes her more alluring.
I agree, he accent is very different. And I have no doubt she could play the role and her natural accent would be perfectly fine to use, it just isnt some sort of coincidence or anything.
Stop being boring,batboy...I said it´s just some coincidences,I did not say that it proves something. I said it makes some sense.
You really don´t understand anything that I say.
Never mind. :whatever:
Oh please, just because your argument has no impact? Just look at what Rusty cage said, its 100% true. And this has nothing to do with Marion as Talia, because she would probably be awesome, but her being french really means **** all, tbh. If they all thought that way, then Bale wouldn't be Batman. And I'm not being boring, I'm just stating the truth, really.. And it really is no coincidence at all, because there is no relation between the actress or the character. Shes not rumored for the character or anything. That's like me saying that its a ''coincidence'' because I want a red head to play Ivy. There's no substance to the argument aside from wishful thinking on your part. And I understand what you are saying completely, I'm just saying that it really has no substance to it. If Ra's spoke with some sort of french accent in the movie and then Marion was rumored to be playing his daughter, then I would understand the argument more, but right now, its just your wishful thinking. It has no sort of coincidence at all because there's no connection between Marion and the role of Talia, besides some fans wanting her to play that role. Again, this has NOTHING to do with Marion playing Talia, just that there is nothing coincidental about it.

Good casting in my opinion except for harley. We need someone who can actually act, someone who isn't just a pair of big boobs on screen. Harley needs to look intelligent, athletic, and hot. Scarlett already proved the limited extent of her comic character acting ability in Iron Man 2, esp. with the fighting scene which was corny because it had to be computerized since she was not athletic enough to move her body. The obvious choice in my mind would be Michelle Williams. Naomi Watts could do the physical comedy and action too---she proved that in King Kong. Or how about Rachel McAdams for a younger Harleen? She has the expressive smile...

Here's my fan casting of villains for Nolan's third Batman film.

Main Villain: Edward E. Nygma/The Riddler (Guy Pearce)

Side-Villain: Dr. Hugo Strange (Sir Ben Kingsley)

Anti-Heroine: Selina Kyle/Catwoman (Eva Green)

Stanley Tucci I think would be a good actor for a baddie like Mad Hatter or even Riddler.

Stanley Tucci is a brilliant actor and great man; I'm a bit biased because of the fan comic I'm writing right now, but Tucci will always be my number one choice for Mr. Freeze; no one can convince me otherwise. :woot: :hrt:

They should get Prince to return to the movie franchise, only this time, have him play the Riddler...

Here's a bit of an idea I had...

I can see Ray Winstone as the Penguin...and as Harvey Bullock.
He´s a good actor.

If The Penguin DID show up, I think Brit actor Eddie Marsan (from Sherlock Holmes and Happy-Go-Lucky, currently stealing scenes in UK series, Thorne) could be a good choice to play him.

I'm not allowed to link to videos with profanity in them, but anyone wanting to check out how good an actor Marsan is, just go onto Youtube, type his name, and watch the first video on the list.

Bruce McGill would make an excellent Rupert Thorne!

That was incredible.

Only one man can play Hugo Strange -

I think he'd make a great Rupert Throne too.
