It looks like in TDK its Joker, Scarecrow, Maroni, and a bunch of gangs, making me think that it will be a gang war storyline. If Batman catches Joker in this one, then i want a full gang war in the third one with

Scarecrow with his gang, Black mask with his gang, and more gangs with no "freaks" in them. Then have Two-Face come in and start to kill them as in Dark Victory...

I want to see the Ventriloquist and Scarface very much so. I think they'd fit in will with the organized crime angle of the new Batman trilogy.

Villains that wouldn't work in Nolan's world (too fantastic):

Killer Croc
Man-Bat
Clayface

These would be a stretch:

Mr. Freeze (maybe, but Freeze's technology might be hard to buy in Nolan's world)
Hugo Strange (the mad scientist angle would be a little iffy)
Lady Shiva (too much like Ra's was portrayed in Begins)
Talia (without Ra's I dunno if her story would work. Plus I'd rather move on.)
Mad Hatter (he could work if he were played down a little bit and made more realistic)
Bane (I'd rather them not break Batman's back in this series, and without that I don't find Bane too interesting)
Poison Ivy (I'd like to see her, but it might be hard to buy. Maybe if they found a way to do it right.)
Harley Quinn (I feel like she'd work best out of this list)

Doug Hutchison as Alberto Falcone/Holiday (as Tom Wilkinson's son? I'd buy it, plus he's great)

Philip Seymour Hoffman as Penguin (certainly has the chops to be in a Nolan Batman cast)

Paul Giamatti as The Ventriloquist/Scarface (makes a living on playing pathetic characters, and is a great actor who could do Scarface as well)

Clancy Brown as Black Mask (imposing, scary, with an iconic voice)

Christina Hendricks as Poison Ivy (see her in Firefly)

Brad Dourif as Calendar Man (shave his head and he'd be a creepy Calendar Man)

Brittany Murphy as Harley Quinn (her Sin City performance is what I imagine)

There are a lot of villains I'd like to see, but one narrows it down for me; Mr. Freeze. IMHO, Nolan could do a good job with the character if he uses BTAS as a reference. Patrick Stewart is my first overall choice to play the role. No stupid ice puns, no Mighty Ducks lackeys and especially, NO RANKIN-BASS SINGING SCENE! I hated Shumacher's Mr. Freeze.

I've seen separate threads for the casting of individual villains and/or villains who haven't been used in the prior Batman films, but how about a thread where we list any and every villain and who you'd like to see play them in one thread... Assuming this Bat-franchise goes on as long as the Bond series, cast any villain you'd like from A-list villains such as the Joker and Two-Face to obscure villains such as Abbatoir and Steeljacket.

Here's my ideal cast for future Bat-villains...
