The Dark Knight Rises Casting Call (All Villains)

lolz no worries. Yea Deadshot would just be another generic merc.

But Deathstroke could be interesting. The only thing I think that is missing from these films is a proper, epic, bone crunching one on one fight. We had a little taste in BB with Bats against Ra's at the end, and in TDK Joker against Batman was pretty good. But Batman is a ninja, a expert martial artist. They need to show that more, and not just against generic, throwaway thugs. Ninja vs ninja would be bad ass.

so the Joker is a throwaway thug?

WTF?

Did you even read what I said? I want a martial arts fight, a proper epic fight. The fight with Joker was brutal and cool, but I wouldn't consider it epic. You know what I mean? It was over in 5 minutes.

Batman is a expert martial artist, IMO we need him up against another expert martial artist. Some who can actually piss all over him, Bane and Deathstroke are the only villains who could do that really. Well Croc can, but I doubt he will be in these films.

Every time I see Jigsaw, I see Black Mask.

Michael Shannon: The Joker

Go watch Bug. He can play a psycho.

My goodness, in Revolutionary Road, Michael Shannon literally plays Heath's Joker...just without the makeup. It was about half an hour from the from the films ending, but just pay attention to his voice and mannerisms in the scene...It SCREAMS of Heath ledgers portrayal of the Joker.

^I completely disagree. He's just crazy in that film. He isnt as close as scary aas Heath was, neither was the character supposed to be.

oh and what urs are the Sh**
anyways I knew i would catch hate for talia and penguin but whats so bad out the other ones

The Riddler choice is good. But i suppose i'm bias, i'm a staunch supporter of Pearce for the role :D

I'm a fan of Joaquin, he was actually my original pick for Two Face before TDK's casting came out. He could be Black Mask but he retired...:csad:

Nothing wrong with Guy Pierce or Charlize in those roles.

Except for Catwoman, Hush, HQ, Penguin, & Talia, they are ok.

Catwoman and Black Mask.

Those are the best characters available along with Penguin and Riddler. Since Nolan used lesser known Ra's in BB maybe he will use Black Mask in the next one.

IMO, I think his choices are Cats, Riddler and Penguin but maybe he'll branch out more and seek lesser known villains...

This would be a good time to do it. Nolan could invent his own villains and the movie would still rake in millions at the BO.

Guy Pearce is too tough and cool looking to be riddler, get someone with some pathetic quality to them....

I think a minimum of three villains could be used in the events of something like this:

1- Nolan's own villain
2- A lesser-known villain, like The Question or Hush
3- A big-time villain from the Batman mythos (The Riddler, Bane, etc.)

I think a bigger villain is imperative, to be honest, regardless of whether or not a lesser-known villain appears.

I would like to see Nolan's own ideas for a new villain that he could inject into Batman's legacy. I agree with you in that if he is to do it, now is the perfect time.

naw, if Nolan want to create his own batman villain, I think he should go the Kevin Smith route and write a mini-series.

I am not a fan of inventing a new villain for the movies. Dini got away with it in BTAS, and they do it in the comics, but the movies....nah.

It just wouldn't feel right with a new villain, no matter how great they were. It would just feel too much like the world's most expensive fan fiction to me.

Well, uh... Why not?

I mean, no offense, but I constantly hear, "I don't want it," but nobody says why. Personally, I wouldn't mind a minor villain added (not someone who's gonna take center-stage in the movie). I think if anyone could do it decently/well, Nolan could.
