The Dark Knight Rises Casting Call (All Villains)

There are around 15 characters from Begins and Knight that has been suggested to play different characters than they are already playing. It is REALLY f'cking annoying!!!

Reese isn't THe Riddler.

"Inception" is a code name for the next Batman movie, just like "Rorys First Kiss" was codename for TDK. Leo DiCaprio and Marion Cotilliard are The Riddler and Catwoman.

J/K

:funny:

but where is TDK cast?:oldrazz:

So. I suppose a straight answer is out of the question?

Straight answer? On these boards!?!? :hehe:

Na seriously I thought he played his role perfectly. He was unlikeable due to his performance, not because it was bad acting. Well, IMO anyway.

But no he won't be Riddler.

Spiffy comeback

What do you want him to say? "Oh, your mother should have aborted you, because your casting SUCKS!"

Instead of drilling the hell out of bad casting that nobody else likes, why not try contributing fresh, new names, supporting others' opinions, or offering constructive criticism as to why you don't like others' suggestions.

I think Leo would be brilliant as Riddler.

What sort of characterization would you give him? Would you go the Fed route, or a more traditional route?

The idea I've always had for The Riddler, was Edward Nashton would impersonate Harvey Bullock, and communicate as "The Riddler" via creepy messages like Jigsaw, or like Anonymous did during their anti-Scientology run.

Basically, hacking entire buildings, effin' with the electrical systems, and then putting out his voice via an intercom, computers, etc. The audience would believe that The Riddler hadn't been seen on screen until the last 15 minutes to half hour of the movie.

I dunno if Nolan would do quite that, though. I don't think the actual fed angle will go through, nor would it work as well as everyone seems to think it will. I think Nolan will shock the hell out of us with his idea... Something so wild and zany, yet still so goddamned obvious that we'll slap ourselves for not thinking of it.

Ok, i'll bring something constructive.

I think C. Hall would be a brilliant Riddler because he has shown before that he can pull off the devious trickster that plays people off each other for his own personal gain. He's also an absolutely brilliant actor, who could probably play pretty much whatever role was needed.

Another choice would be David Tennant, but that is based purely on his physical appearance, as I've never seen him in anything (apart from that one Harry Potter movie he was in, no idea which one).

Characterization-wise, I think more emphasis should be placed on his arrogance and intelligence, and not his O.C.D. and his O.C.D. would be much more mental, and not expressed so bluntly on screen (to where you really wouldn't realize it unless you were really paying attention to the film).

I could definitely see Nolan doing a much more arrogant (and not so quirky and odd) version of Detective Robert Goren from Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

:facepalm

Where did I fail? mentioning him or not having seen him in anything?

Come on guys, lighten up, give the guy a break :D

Bobber I think it's to do with you saying Tennant would be good for the role by looks alone. Yea he has the look, but that shouldn't be used to judge some one for a particular role you know?

But Michael C Hall is a great actor and I could see him as Riddler. But my no.1 choice is still Guy Pearce

Guy Pearce is good, he's worked with Nolan before and he's a pretty talented actor.
Too bad that Downey Jr is Marvels new boy toy, he could've done a great Riddler.

I hope Pearce is cast as Riddler should he be in the third.
