Casting choices that they maybe had right the first time?

Watch AP, there you see Bale pretty much as the joker.

In an alternate Batman Begins, we have:

Jake Gyllenhaal as Bruce Wayne/Batman

Daniel Day-Lewis/Viggo Mortensen/Russell Crowe as Ducard/Ra's

Anthony Hopkins as Alfred

Chris Cooper as Gordon

Natalie Portman, Rachel McAdams, or Emily Blunt as Rachel (they were interested, but Nolan wanted Holmes)

Ewan McGregor or Christopher Eccleston as Dr. Crane/Scarecrow

and Laurence Fishburne as Lucius Fox

Personally I think I prefer Caine over Hopkins or Alfred, and I definitely prefer Christian Bale and Cillian Murphy, but Cooper as Gordon and Fishburne as Fox could have been interesting, though I'm fine with Oldman and Freeman.

Also Colin Farrell's role in the Total Recall remake and Dominic Cooper's role in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter were almost Tom Hardy, but he was busy for TR and I think turned down AL: VH.

Jake Gyllenhaal was almost Ledger's role in The Patriot with Mel Gibson, and almost replaced Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man 2 because Maguire hurt his back filming Seabiscuit.

Nicole Kidman was cast in Panic Room, but had to leave when she fell down the stairs and hurt herself, and Jodie Foster stepped in.

Natalie Portman, Rachel McAdams, or Emily Blunt as Rachel (they were interested, but Nolan wanted Holmes)
Any one of those choices would have been better than Holmes.

Justin Berfield?!

The other blonde kid looks like he could've grown up to be DiCaprio. But then, of course, even DiCaprio wouldn't have been able to spin straw into gold with Episode II and III dialogue.

I think it would of been slightly better , but there's no way anyone could make the "yippee" not sound annoying.

I really wanted to see Jake get the Spider-man role. I think Tobey matched the level of camp that Raimi wanted though. Only Tobey could pull off the strut in Spider-man 3.

this thread is a good idea. but to bad that fanboys dont understand how actors are cast and how movies are made.

we see the actors that were cast in the movie and than we compare them to actors who we only know from other movies playing different characters?

yeah i could see Krasinski as a good Captain America. and Blunt would be a good Black Widow since she knows how to act.

and yes i think Selleck in the Indiana Jones movie would work.

Pft, I think she's horrible. I seen her in only one movie, and I really hate the way she acts and the way she talks. Both her and Carey Mulligan are the top of my list as my most hated actresses and I will avoid movies with them like the plague. I am soooo glad they picked ScarJo.

Tom Jane as the Punisher. I couldn't even watch that second piece of crap.

All The Punishers were pretty good in the role.

Ray Stevenson was an infinitely better Punisher than Tom Jane.
