Some idiot on wikipedia keeps changing it. It goes back and forth from 1976 to 1982 practically every day.

His birthdate is listed as 1982 here, which makes a lot more sense.

Articles and photos from his hometown paper and from the time he played High School basketball beg to differ:

South Carolina, US

And, looks like Biography.com just changed the date to 1977

Those photos could have been taken yesterday (apart from the graininess obviously), the man is blessed

I don't want him with feline features. He looks too much like he's out of a vampire movie otherwise. He needs to be relatable to audiences, especially as the first black superhero movie in the MCU.

Ditto. He should look human when the mask is off

Nothing to do with eating Evans said when he got to his TFA body size, he kept injuring himself hurting ligaments and tendons and such, cos his body wasn't used to it. If anything that just means he got too big too fast and his joints and such weren't ready for it.

Plus he is hardly a lot smaller in the follow ups, have people seen him in wood chopping scene.

Didn't notice the size change.
Sounds like he needs his fish oil, glucosamine, msm and chondontrin!

haha, on the main forum this just reads Chadwick Boseman is Black...

Well no s**t.

Where do you guys find this stuff at. Malcolm X is listed as one of his role models, that woman that posted that negative comment about a BP movie is the last person who needs to see this. LOL

Doesn't matter that Boseman's 37. He looks like he's somewhere in the late 20's/early 30's range. And (say) 12 years down the line, when he's wrapping up his MCU "tour of duty", he wouldn't look too old to play a physical, athletic, acrobatic character like Black Panther.

It's the one reason I actually preferred Boseman over Ejoifor. Despite the fact that the former is actually older by a couple of months, Ejoifor might look a little too old to play T'Challa something like 12 years down the line.

Holy s*** he found the fountain of youth. Like craig's mom, I've been assuming this guy was in his early-to-mid-twenties. Doesn't matter though, he looks great for the role, and he's a damn good actor.

So if Boseman has a 5 film contract, what films are people thinking, obviously Civil War and Black Panther, then possibly the two Infinity Wars, but that leaves one more, which is strange cos then that extra one would mean Panther would only show up once in Phase 4, or none at all if he is Inhumans or something

Unless he isn't in both Infinity Wars, or 5 film contract report is wrong.

Maybe Infinity War counts as one film? Who knows, although I'd like to think he's signed on for 3 Black Panther movies

I was wondering how Infinity War being two movies affects things. Downey seems only under contract for one of the movies unless either a) The Captain America deal signed him for an extra movie or b) Infinity War counts as one movie (or I suppose if there's a plan to only have them appear in one of the two movies).

But my hope is he's signed for three Black Panther films. I think the character can certainly support it.

I'm sure there is an audience for Black Panther. So the more T'challa the better.

I'm thinking Cap, Stark and Thor sit out A:IW1 due to the nature of their contracts, and will make their big splashy return for A:IW2.

For story purposes, Cap might go nomad and Stark might semi-retire as a result of Civil War and god only knows what happens to Thor in the wake of Ragnarok.

As an added benefit, this gives some of the newer characters some time to shine plus Hulk, who isn't getting a solo anytime soon. As for T'Challa, I expect him to show up for both parts of Infinity War.

With RDJ's contract being renegotiated for an extended stay in the MCU, it's likely that was included, just like Civil War, with the new deal.

With characters who are due to expire, like Evans and Hemsworth, it's more likely that they made a deal of some sort so that we don't have a big summer avengers movie without them than saving them for IW2. It's possible of course that one or both of their characters will be temporarily dead and sit things out that way. That's an option as well.

Maybe RDJ's new deal includes Agents of SHIELD?

I think that they left the fifth one up to room for him to get a sequel if the first movie is successful. If the Black Panther movie flops then that fifth movie in the contract could be an appearance in another movie in Phase 4 or something. It seems like Marvel is hedging their bets with him.

Definitely. Though, I also don't see Boseman leaving the character after 5 films.

Question. In regards to how Boseman is going to appear onscreen, would you like it if they gave T'Challa some feline features?

Denys Cowan drew him like this in the 1988 Black Panther limited series. Sadly, no artist has followed suit in T'Challa's subsequent appearances. A shame, since I thought it was really cool and gave Panther a unique look.

I dunno about "feline" features. He's not a mutant or anything like that. I think the ONLY thing I must insist on him having in the film is a mustache and goatee.

Chadwick looks good with facial hair. I pray they keep it on him for T'Challa.

This probably doesn't matter but I think boseman is the best looking avenger
