Fortunately, I don't think Feige would have mentioned him if he was in negotiations for being director. He'll probably have minimal involvement.

Now I highly doubt that Marvel would put that man in the directors seat, well at least that's what I'm hoping. Hudlin has directed a lot of tv shows and a few movies but nothing of his credits scream that he'd be a good director for BP.

Yeah marvel should get a Wakandan actor for the part

I had hoped they would at least looked for someone from Wakanda but i'd rather see a live action BP movie then an animated one.

I think Neil Neill Blomkamp as others have mentioned would do a fantastic job based on what i've seen of his works. Not sure if he should write it. I hope Marvel don't feel the need to get a black director on the project but get someone's who's good for the job. However if they do then someone like Fuqua would be great. He'd be great anyway. i just don't want it to be a race thing and Fuqua was brought on board because of his talent.

They already said they wont be hiring directors based on race or sex, just who ever will do the job best.

Thought he would be a great fit for BP once I saw his 42 and Get on Up performance. Good choice Marvel

Geez, some of you dudes seem dead set against them getting someone black to direct the damn thing.

There's only like a handful of us in the industry so the odds ain't exactly with us.

Me wanting the Hughes Bros. has zilch to do with them being black. I've wanted a Marvel film from them for awhile now.

I dont think that at all..I'm black and it would be great if Fuqua was signed on. However, if someone like Paul Greengrass shows up with interest, EVeryone else can take a seat, black, white or blue

Black Panther is the most interesting untouched resource in Marvel's canon. I've been waiting a long time to see Wakanda. Not only is it fascinating in the marvel universe, but it's so different from anything else in science fiction. I really hope they push it as a place that's an alternative to western epistemology and ideology.

I think I would take Fuqua over Greengrass. I wasn't very impressed with the Bourne movies

Doug Liman (Bourne Identity and Edge of Tomorrow).

Underrated, kick ass director.

I hope that however they realize it on film, it's at least as enjoyable as how A:EMH portrayed BP. I thought they nailed him on that show.

The Hughes bros. Have been my top pick for a BP movie for a while. Fuqua would be good to, but if they dont get selected over someone who marvel is more confident in then so be it.

Yea, its unfortunate. The notable ones are in indie movies with little action experience which always makes me hesitant to suggest them. Steve McQueen is not going to do. Ryan Coogler maybe. He's one movie in but it was a character focused pseudo-thriller.

I wonder will T'challa have the power to turn into that Panther creature like he did in the Avengers cartoon, or was that T'chaka

Based on who as a black director can handle both visuals and action sequences I'd go with Fuqua first but then to be fair just because a director has done small and indie films may not mean he can't shine with a big film and deliver the goods. They all have to start somewhere. I'm sure Marvel will be side by side. They want their movies to work.

Of course, but without a behind-the-scenes pass its useless to fan-suggestions unfortunately.

a lot of great directors mentioned

I like the Hughes Bros mention. Book of Eli action scenes are very comic book, very brutal and very close quarters. Also, I love the high contrast/cinematography in that movie. Could be epic.

I'm going to throw out some director names:
Carl Franklin
Ernest R Dickerson (guy made Tales of the Crypt: Demon Knight, love that flick)
