I think TDK is flawless. What flaw is in it?
These are just nitpicks, but a few problems I think the movie had that I could think of on the spot. I still love the film, but just pointing out that flaws are there IMO.
1. Rachel Dawes is an annoying character and acts completely different from the version in Batman Begins. Her death had little to no impact on me since I couldn't care less about her character.
2. The SWAT member kept spurting out a bunch of annoying one-liners, such as: "I didn't sign up for this!"
3. Batman is really uninteresting in this film if you ask me, and its more than him just being overshadowed by the Joker though. The character alone is just not that interesting, and he never really proved to be "The World's Greatest Detective" either. And don't get me started on that voice!
4. The movie takes itself too seriously at times, and never learns to have any fun, making me want to ask Nolan, "Why so serious?" The overuse of metaphors and analogies really got to me. At first, they sound really intelligent, but listening to them over and over again, I'm not sure if the writers even knew what they were saying. "Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now...and so we'll hunt him...because he can take it...because he's not a hero...he's a silent guardian, a watchful protector...the Dark Knight". It just sounds cool I guess.
5. The Joker always has a plan, but half of the things he gets done in this film are just not believable. The bank heist for example... his plan heavily relied on his goons being reliable. And then driving a school bus out of the bank ending up in a line of other school buses without any issues. Sorry, don't buy it.
6. The Bruce/Rachel/Harvey love triangle. Never cared for it, never was interested in how it would turn out.
Not sure. Don't wanna put my expectations that high regardless.
I think it definitely has a strong chance to kick the **** out of ASM 1.
