Their fates were kinda left mysterious with a chance of survival if thrown through the Fault at the point of explosion. Them appearing in Chaos War would only be confirmation of their deaths.
Personally, I kinda hope that if and when we get back to Nova and Star Lord they come accross the two of them. Vulcan wasn't fantastic as an X-Men villain but War of Kings made him a fantastic threat to the cosmos. I'd like to see him survive myself. Myabe mature a bit after having gone through War of Kings and its outcome.
That's pretty much begging to be the next cosmic event: Nova and Star-Lord return from the Fault but bring a crazed Black Bolt and Vulcan (or even just Vulcan) back with them.
If they did survive , it would be interesting to see if they ended up in the Cancerverse. They probably had to put aside their differences and fight everyone coming at them.
I dunno. He's a master energy manipulator at a Cosmic Level. Quasar, Beta Ray Bill, and Silver Surfer would be his playthings and drawing power from them he'd be an amazing threat against the team. And he took a Blackbolt scream at point range and survived... dude's resilient.
I think he'd likely lose, but it'd be one heck of a fight!
Quasar is the protector of the universe. Beta Ray Bill is a god and Silver Surfer is a Herald of Galactus. I don't care if Vulcan is a beyond Omega level mutie. You don't stand a chance when those 3 want you dead. He'd knock around Ronan pretty good , but those 3 and Gladiator would kill him.
Vulcan knocked around Adam Warlock , but that was a young and inexperienced Adam Warlock. If it had been the Warlock from the 90s , Vulcan would've been dog food.
Beta Ray Bill is an alien with godlike powers. Small point of contention for me. Gods are unique beings in the Marvel universe.
Anyway, Black Bolt fared pretty well against Vulcan one-on-one. He's not really anymore powerful than Bill or the Surfer or Gladiator (on a good day). I think the Annihilators would make pretty short work of him.
Sooo, what the F is Herc supposed to do now that he's lost his demigod status(and powers )? I didn't enjoy Chaos War as much as I thought I would, it felt entirely too hectic but I'll be on board for Pak/VanLente's new Herc series in April
