I'm guessing that the "force" Mohinder's dad is talking about is Samuel's real motive for building his family.

I will be really impressed if this is addressing that "earth-splitting" thing from Season 3 that was brought up and never mentioned again.

Seems like the closer a person w/abilities is to another w/abilities the stronger they get. Samuel is constantly surrounded by 20+ people with abilities and dude was making earthquakes when he was a baby. The man is a powerhouse.
